jason cassidy: have now bought multiple sets of thes to run under our bedframe and desk. the have a standard argb plug so i can actually run then off an argb header on my motherboard and sync to my pc case lighting. you get a lot on a roll and the can be cut. i used a connector kit to give clean right angles to the installed sets and havnt had the adhesive fail yet.

I built my house 12 years ago for this tech, but at that point it wasn't out / reliable / cheap enough for intended project, but as I was repainting, the time was just right to get up my vaulted ceiling sun-room for these led 'uplights'.

We mounted the lights at the top of an 8' wall on a small wooden ledge (put up for the purpose) with the intended purpose that they might light up the ceiling. Only got them fitted last night and couldn't be more happy with the result. My walls are 6M long so I had to order the 2 x 5M set so had to cut and rejoin the strip, something which I was able to do with ease - such is the design of the product.

Amazon Customer: Good lights in general but so far I can't get these to operate with Alexa so they are not very smart.. Alexa sees them but refuse to connect.. both devices on the ,2.4ghz wireless. I have tried uninstalling the app.. forgetting the lights in Alexa. Restarting them. If they weren't stuck up in place I would have returned these.. very annoying as they had to be smart but these don't connect at all. If I can get these to work I will update but so far not very smart at all . The reason for buying was the smart option. Fam I wish I tested them before installing. No manual process mcluded either so maybe there is something I'm missing.

carl mcglynncarl mcglynn: So I purchased these based on price and the capabilities from them especially alexa voice control . So the downfall sides the corner connecters are no use they don't exactly click in to the strip they just fall off . I decided not to use the connecters they seemed like a nightmare to install so managed to use them without . The led comes on two 5 meter rolls with to ports from the power supply which wasn't too bad . I bought these for above my kitchen units now they was not the easiest to fit without the connections but if I'd used them I felt I'd have issues maintaining a connection to the lights . Alexa was a pain to connect bit does work well when set up and the lights are strong in colour and brightness the end effect worked but the remote supplied doesn't work though the app on your phone does .

PhilPhil: The media could not be loaded.  When I first purchased the DeerDance smart strip lights I had intended to use them in my kitchen, but owing to the fact it was a small kitchen I had to put some thought into where else I could use them. I finally settled on my computer set up, the desk and my monitors because I spend a lot of time there. And if you look at the pictures, I think you’ll see that the results were worth the work setting it up.
The lights arrived on time.
package was in perfect condition with no damage and all parts were present
the directions were easy to follow, including how to set up the Wi-Fi app and also linking to Alexa.
The parts included made it easy to set up the way I wanted , however I wish that they would include something like a tee connector because I would’ve done things a little bit differently had I had one, but I’m still very pleased with the results. I also had no problem following the shape of my monitor because the strips do allow you enough leeway to make a corner with them.
It was easy to splice the ends together with the included hardware, but you have to make sure when you join the ends that they match up because if...

IgnatsIgnats: The media could not be loaded.  I set these lights up on my desk. I’m in the process of moving furniture around, so I didn’t cut the light strip for exact fit yet just in case I want to use it on my bookcase instead. I love novelty lights and colored lights. I use them for sensory issues, to help me focus, and to help me relax. I wanted to get something like this for my tv area, or my bookcase, but I saw pictures online of people using them around their desk, and that seem neat too.
The lights seem to work really well. There are a lot of colors and features you can use with the app, which also works really well. I tried to upload a video of the lights changing colors, but I’m only allowed one video. I did upload a video of the music feature, where the lights change with the music. (My video shows a glare from the lights, which wasn’t how it looked in person. It looks nicer in person.) You can also change the effects of the music lights too.
The remote control works good too. The only downside is it has to be pointed at the sensor to work.

DogProblemsDogProblems: This is the second set of LED strip lights I have purchased from Amazon, first time with this brand. I was especially looking for light strips that were compatible with Amazon Alexa and this time I wanted to put them in an area where I would need a longer strip. I liked these because they had a separate connection for each 16.4 ft reel. I wanted to go up from the plug and then split off into two different directions so this ended up working out perfectly. It was very easy to install this light strip, I ended up using the sticky tape on the other side and just slowly peeled it off as I placed the light where I wanted it. I didn’t use the clips this time as I did not need them where I was hanging it up. This kit comes with a lot of accessories and connectors that I did not need, but it’s great that it comes with them so you can really adapt this kit to your needs.

I tested out the remote and it works fine but I don’t use that since I have the Alexa integration. I was able to easily add this light strip to the app as soon as I powered it on.
