AngeliqueAngelique: The media could not be loaded. I purchased this book after someone bought Dear Boy for my son and Dear Girl did not disappoint. We love both of the books! My kids love to sit down and “read” together my son is 3 and my daughter is 2. The only small complaint that I have is that they show the girl dancing on a chair during dinner on the sometimes you have to just stop and dance page.

UnicornMermaidJedi: I bought this as a gift for a 3 year old girl based on the stellar reviews. It arrived today and I flipped through it to see if it would be something my own daughters would enjoy.
I definitely love it, but it seems like some of the pages (you don't have to be invited to every party etc) might apply to to the 5 year old+ crowd vs a 3 year old. I am not sure if the "story" would be interesting to a 3 year old.
It is a wonderful book with lovely illustrations but I will keep it for my children and look for something else a bit more engaging for the 3 year old I had originally bought it for.
