rexclark: Each time I begin reading one of Jeff's books, I can't expect it to be as good as the last one and once again, it's even better.

Dinora: This is an amazing thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns will keep you reading until the end. This one has a psychological twist, with lots of mystery and suspense

Crafty12player: Some of the Wolf Series started slow and then picked up speed and excitement as the story progressed and some stories had an up-and-down movement to their plot but each story had its different hook to keep you hanging on. The last three stories have been almost hyperactive with so much movement and excitement. This Dark Mountain story has the whole show going on. A back story from Wolf's past combat experiences. Three different love stories happening. A carry-over element from a previous story involving one of the main supporting characters (Patterson). A major tie-in from a couple of stories back. But all believable though mysterious and suspensefully thrown together. This is the making of a great action TV or big-screen action flick! I had to re-read a couple of parts to keep up but that's just me. So reality, action, emotions, mystery, and suspense, all well-written, and artfully put together like an exciting puzzle. Great reading! Good story!

Galning: This is my 10th Wolf book and this one wasn't up to the same standard as the previous ones (IMHO). The flashback sequences were confusing as (certainly on my Kindle) they were only separated from the main narrative by a slightly wider line space. And they way they were inserted / positioning made it feel disjointed for me.
I also found myself flipping through some pages, where there was lots of description of some trivial event or other. When i do that it means there is something that doesn't feel like it's adding a massive amount of value (to the narrative) and yet is dissipating the tension.
It's not a bad book - but I didn't enjoy it as much as 1-9.

S. Ivory: The end of a mammoth back to back read over the last few weeks and thoroughly enjoyed mostvof the books. This one was one of the good ones, with a few loose ends, which hopefully will mean another book. But....what happened to Jet? No mention yet again so one assumes he has passed on, but i would have thought after featuring heavily in books 7 and 8, we would have been told. Sorry Jeff, disappointed in you to create him, then do away with him so carelessly.

Joe R: Excellent, once again!
Have just finished books 1 - 10 in the David Wolf series.
I have enjoyed each one. It makes a pleasant change for characters to develop as a book series progresses. So often they seem to remain static, but David Wolf has both aged and matured throughout the series, and the other characters have done the same.
There will always be niggles, especially if you are a pedant, like me, but this has been a great series - any more to come?

Marty: This book was a little bittersweet. Full of compassion and healing in the end. For some who are lucky with a little help from their friends. For others there was nothing just bitterness and hate. Twisting minds and hearts and leading to destruction. Gave this book a five star, because as usual full of twists and a thriller. Recommend this book to all who love a good mystery and happy endings.
