I got this set for the variety of blenders and for the excellent price. The different sizes allow you to blend large areas or the most intimate details of your work. They blend nicely with standard pencils all the way to charcoal sticks. They also blend beautifully on a variety of different mediums. Great buy!!

P. Nichols: These work well instead of using my fingers. My teacher liked them so much I gave here one.
I just don't know how to get the color off so it doesn't transfer another color when blending.

Dayest: I like them although I haven't used them a lot as we changed medians. This class we go back and I can use them again. Great buy and I am loooking forward to using them again.

CLG: Blending sticks made of paper or other similar blending products are a must have when using artistic quality colored/graphite pencils and pastels. I love this type of blending tool - the soft paper allows for a more gentle and directed blend of my colors. Other types of blenders give a varying degree of blend, perfect for specific effects. The only unfortunate thing with these tightly rolled paper blending sticks...my dogs love them! So keep them away from dogs even though the paper is inert and will not harm their digestive system. Recommendation: Get a lot of these sticks and keep them out of reach of your dogs.

Last - the price was right for this product. I examined the cost of sets like this at two local art stores. Too pricey and less variety of sizes. Amazon was the perfect source for me.

Jax: Purchased these to replace my older tools that have just worn out after 20 years of use. Noticed that the quality has declined over the ones I purchased 20 years ago. Good quality for the price, but not as good as they used to be. Not sure the new ones will last another 20 years, hence the 4 stars.
