Michelle K: I had barely started reading this book before I set it down and rearranged my living room. Thank you Joanna! My life and home are better off. The advice in the book is really good to break down how to approach designing rooms to live in and really reflect the people that use them (in a good way). I did wonder though about the people that have the homes included in the photos - it wasn't until I reached the end of the book that I finally saw chairs in the rooms where I'd actually want to sit. Most of the chairs/seating in the photos looked very hard and uninviting. If I visited any of these homes, I'd sneak in a comfy wingback chair so I could sit down and relax.
