Kathleen Kennedy: You can whip up a batch of these easily and quickly. I think that a child of 9 or 10 could make them with a little supervision. I give them for little gifts or attach them to the bow of a present.
Only criticism is the “pipe cleaners” that come in the kit for threading the beads are plain white and a little too short to comfortably make a hanging loop at the top of the little star. I bought some longer metallic gold pipe cleaners at the $ store and all was well. I still like them and bought another kit this year.

Sean M.: Over all, these were really cute and an enjoyable craft for my family.

I'm disappointed that instead of three sizes of beads there were only two. So the trees don't look as graduated as they should, but it's not very noticeable on the finished product.

I also had to put a dollop of glue into the bottom bead to hold everything together on the pipe cleaner. It didn't matter how long I left the end and curled it up, it took nothing for the bottom bead to slide off and the whole thing to fall apart. It's not a deal breaker, but they should include a small bottle of fabric glue or add it into the listing that you need to provide you own (or use hot glue).

JL: I wish I had read the negative reviews so I could have been better prepared. I did a craft like this at a Girl Scout training many years ago. I happened to find the beads shortly after that to do it with my troop and had been wanting to make more. I was excited to find this kit. I jumped right in and cut the pipe cleaners to 3 inches and discovered I did not have enough to make 24 of these. Also I found cutting them to 3 inches barely gave me enough to crimp it at the bottom. I have bigger fingers so I like to have a little extra to work with and then cut off what I don’t need. Was hoping to give these to some friends for a little gift but will now have to go to the craft store for the pipe cleaners. Would also prefer green pipe cleaners as I think that would look better. I think if the little round balls were different colors that would be cool as there’s a lot of green.

CassieCassie: This was a cute easy craft for my 3 girls to do. It would of been easier if the pipe cleaners were already pre-cut because even following directions and the paper ruler that's provided as am image on the instructions sheet, I found they ran short and also had left over beads that we used some of our own pipe cleaners with to make a few more.

RevDrEvil: Yes, these beads are plastic, but they're nice and glittery. Looks great!

A couple of issues, though. First, the red base bead has basically the same hollow part as the hole, so it is really hard to get it to hang in line with the rest of the ornament. Second, the star bead does have a top and a bottom. I was half way through putting them together before I figured out why some stars would sit correctly and some wouldn't. You have to look for the hole between one point.

The third issue is the pipe cleaners. They are too short to get the required number of parts. They are also very flimsy. The end beads would fall off because I couldn't get enough of a curl at the ends. My solution? I took them apart and used very thin green floral wire. I cut double the recommended length of wire, bent it in half, grasped the end and twisted, leaving a loop at the end. Then I twisted the wires together just enough to bind them together (maybe 5 twists). If you twist them too much, though, they become too thick to take the beads. I then assembled as per instructions. I took the ends of the wire and individually curled them tightly and fit them into the base. I also reshaped the top...
