M. Maxwell: These socks are actually a bit too warm for me! I passed them on to my roommate, who has large calves and they are so perfect I am gifting two more pairs-no question they are worth the 8$ sale price but not sure how long they will last for the 16$ I paid for the first pair.
The nonslip bottom works.
Not wearable outdoors, but toasty warm on cold floors.
All in all, recommended, especially at sale price.
