VampyraVampyra: I measured these and can make them fit in cages of other brands. The problem with pet cages are the shelves are always flimsy and are not pet-safe. By adding these to the top of the shelves it makes them sturdy. They also made my shelves wider so a cat would have more room. Don't worry if it sticks out more to the inside of your cage. That's a good thing. Just make sure the cage is wide enough for the hooks to attach to the sides of the cage.

To was able them attach them to the original wire shelf and side of the cage with zip ties. Put these shelves on top of your existing wire shelf. If you do it this way your shelves won't move at all. A 13-pound cat will easily be able to sit on this shelf without it bending or breaking. That's if you use zip ties.

The second picture I added is me trying to lift the shelf showing you the old wire shelf underneath. It's on the tight so it was hard to show you. The Midwest shelf is almost 2 inches wider toward the inside of the cage than the old wire shelf.

Melody: I use this playpen for fostering kittens and am extremely happy with it. The pen is sturdy and I love that it is on wheels because I can easily move it from room to room. I also like that the tray at the bottom of the pen slides out for easy cleaning. I was keeping the kittens in my bathroom but they kept making a huge mess. The pen is large enough for 4 small kittens to climb and play. There is also enough room for a litter box, bed and food. I am over the moon with the purchase! Highly recommend especially if you foster.

Angélica Jiménez: Este corral para gatitos funciona perfecto. Se arma con relativa facilidad y tiene un muy buen tamaño para que mientras guardas a tu gatito en este corral; pueda moverse de un lado a otro con libertad.

No es un espacio para que ahí viva tu gato de forma permanente; eso resultaría ilógico y cruel. Es un espacio para resguardar a tu gatito mientras no puede deambular por la casa, al tiempo que está cómodo y libre en un entorno cerrado.
Ejemplo; cuando tienes trabajadores que pueden dejar puertas y/o ventanas abiertas.

BiddycentBiddycent: We bought this as we have just bought 2 Ragdoll kittens that are 7 months old, we live right on the sea and have a large balcony. So that our little terrors escape we got this so we can all enjoy time outside as they are house cats.
They were unsure the first few times of being in there but now love having the door open and wandering in to get a better view at height.It was easy to put together but we reinforced the sides and shelves with cable ties just for peace of mind, 😍

R. Miller: Great playpen, fits together well. Folds up easily for moving and storage. For those reviews that mention that the cage doesn't fit well together and needs twist ties, I think they may have assembled it incorrectly (I almost did, until my wife pointed out the correct way). The bars on the sides of the cage need to slip down into the "hooks" on the front and the back, and click-lock in. This is shown in the instructions, but not too clearly, so its not obvious. When this is done, and the shelves are added which give extra support, the cage is rock solid. The only time twist ties are needed is when the playpen is folded down for moving and storage. The shelves are a bit fussy to put in, but they increase playpen solidity. 2 more covers would be nice though - the included on is very plush, and the cats look very comfortable using it. Doors are great and easy to use, wheels are solid and work well. Bars are spaced exactly as you would expect, and metal is right thickness - solid, but not too heavy. Quite happy with this purchase.

imotogirl: I love this cage, and cannot say enough good things about it!!! FIRST, let me start by addressing previous reviews of this item. It was a bit more difficult to put together then other similar cages that I have bought, and the cage by itself is NOT STURDY, and I would definitely NOT put my pets in here as it was sold to me. HOWEVER, with $5 worth of zipties invested, this is THE BEST CAGE I'VE EVER BOUGHT!!! It's SAFE, and ROOMY. I love the design of the shelves (which are a better design then the Marshall Folding Mansion for Small Animals) as they lock into place on 3 walls of the cage. The luxuriously spacious door design (also better then Marshall), is absolutely FANTASTIC to get your pet, or anything within the cage, in and out easily. The doors also have built in locks (not offered by Marshall), to keep your pet in, which is fantastic for me because I house Cottontail bunnies in these cages, and they are thinkers which can get out of almost anything. Cottontails are EXTREMELY rambunctious, and give this cage a run for its money (there is a party going on in my house EVERY morning at 2 a.m.), but NEVER has the cage failed. JPS: Ok, I read the reviews before I bought this and knew I would need cable ties to put it together, so I bought some even before I looked at the directions. Then, when it came time to put it together, I thought I'd try without the cable ties first just to see if it was possible. I got it almost all together, when the whole entire thing just fell apart. So then I started over, using cable ties as I went, so it wouldn't fall apart again. When I was almost done, I realized that some of the sections looked like they weren't matching up as they should, and I noticed that I had put it together wrong, or at least not in the best way. This is why:

There are little "D" shaped hooks at the corners that hold the sides together. At first, I figured they'll hook on to just wherever they seemed to match up on the opposite panel, but this won't work. Unless it's in the right place, the cage will fall apart. I believe this is why some reviewers said the cage would just fall apart. Here is the right place: the "D" shaped hooks go directly UNDER a horizontal wire. That latches them in, and makes the cage quite sturdy even without cable ties. I used cable ties to...
