Packster: .. she loved them coming out of the box. I do too. We love the shape, the pattern and the sizes .. the large plates aren't too large and the small aren't too small. The bowls are a good size for most purposes. We loved that the set came with 6 of these things and none of those rather useless cups that come with most sets. These dishes aren't as light as they may lead one to believe but not nearly as heavy as the stoneware they're replacing. Can't speak to durability

akeyes0214: Everything about these was absolutely great except for the fact that I feel the dinner plate should be a little bit larger, but that is not the end of the world. We will definitely be ordering an additional set to add to our kitchen in the near future.
