Compare-N-Save Glyphosate Concentrate Grass and Weed Killer, 41% Strength, 1-Gallon Container

Troy: This is a 41% mix of glyphosate, which is very condensed. Ready to use is at 2%, which is still plenty strong. You could likely mix down to 1.5% in most cases if you're spot treating weeds. The 2% mix I used killed an area around the places I spot treated, so a 6" weed ended up with about an 18-24 inch dead spot. Now that fall is here, cool season weeds are filling back in, but at least the weeds I was trying to kill will not drop seeds, which in this case also have sharp poking spines, but I killed them before they matured to sharp spines. Next year I plan on renovating with Zoysia which will fill in well, and after that, mixed with low mowing and a pre-emergent such as Dithiopyr or Prodiamine, that should keep 99% of the annual weeds at bay.

The frustrating part is this can be manufactured and sold for so much less. I bought this exact same product a few years ago for $20, so since then it's gone up over 250% in price. So, I'm looking for an alternate provider to come along and beat this price. Until then, this is still the best price on this product.

Brian P.: It works well. Will last just as long as the name brands, especially for the cost. I do recommend using the strongest dose per gallon for best treatment. Should see results with grasses in about 3 days, tougher weeds may take 7 but they will succumb eventually. Good for 2mo in FL summer.

CP: This stuff has a higher concentration of the same chemical you’ll find in the high priced brands. So, you get a LOT more weed/grass killer for a LOT less money. Best of all, it works great. It takes a couple days to do the job and it lasts for about a month. I haven’t found anything better. I do spot weed and grass killing on a large white stone yard and this does the job, but I have to keep after it. Two treatments about a week apart, then once a month for prime growing season in Florida.
