Jane: Ticks all the boxes for me.
Fits nicely and covers everything I need it too.
Hood is perfect size and stays up.
Colour is flattering and matches most of my wardrobe.
Most importantly for me, it's wind and waterproof without being heavy or bulky. I went for a walk last weekend that ended up taking me and hour and a half. It was windy and rained constantly, I was comfortably warm and the coat didn't leak anywhere. Delighted with this purchase and it's now my favourite coat.

Mel WoodMel Wood: Bought this coat after some research - I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money, but didn't want to cheap out either. The price of this coat hit the sweet spot for the features you pay for.

It's such a gorgeous coat! It feels great on, looks very smart and is a great length. I'm very happy that I found a performance coat without looking like a sports fanatic or being covered in the logos of the brand. And it has so many pockets, which is awesome. It's a real problem with women's clothes not having pockets for some reason!

Tried it out on a few hikes already. It keeps you very warm indeed, even when you stop walking. In 0 degrees and a wind chill of about -5 at around 25mph, the coat kept me very warm for about 30 minutes without any movement. I was only wearing a long-sleeve t-shirt with a t-shirt on top in the photo I've provided and I got too hot even in the snow conditions you see.

Not tested it in constant pouring rain yet. I have read somewhere that it only has "critically-taped seams", meaning just the seams on the body and hood area are fully waterproofed, leaving the arms as a weak point for water. So if this is true, you might want to consider...

SoozanJBee: I took a chance and it worked out wonderfully!! Even my sister was "eyeing" it. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the fur surrounding the hood. Yuk! UG AND LY....Looks like dead squirrel fur. BUT THE COAT ITSELF IS NICE, WARM AND STYLISH. Will definitely buy again.

anadromous: I like the fit of this jacket. It seems to run a bit smaller than the Columbia Carson pass interchange or Barlow Pass turbodown, which means it fits me better. I have an XL of all 3 currently at home for comparison, and this one fits much better, shorter arms, not as baggy. The belt cinch is also a great feature and will enable the coat to be tightened up agains the wind. Ample pockets are another plus (the Barlow Pass is lacking here). I am somewhat concerned about warmth, however, lacking experience with the omni-heat thermal reflective stuff. There's room for a light puffer down jacket to go under, which might be enough when the temps drop down near 0, but it's too warm to test this week.

Sarah Harrigan: I love this coat. I wanted to put that right out front in case you don't read any further. Its not bulky like other heavy coats and uses your own body temperature to reflect heat back in. And the longer length in back keeps that part of me warm too. I wore this coat last weekend when the temps were in the 20's. I didn't get cold except for those parts that weren't covered by the coat. The fur hood also blocked a lot of the wind from hitting my face. The only thing I could knock it for is the belt which is not tacked down. It slips through the belt loops due to the weight of the buckle. I tacked it in a few places and it's now perfect. I highly recommend it.

whit: This is the best coat I've ever owned! Hands down, no doubt about it. It's super warm, thanks to the fancy Omni-Heat lining. I was pretty skeptical about that, but it's incredible...I even bought another Columbia coat with that lining for my spouse, and he agrees. It also just looks great. The belt is both stylish (slimming, for sure) and functional (keeps the cold from blowing up through the bottom). It can be a little time-consuming putting this coat on and taking it off, due to the design. The belt obviously takes a second to fasten, and the double-zipper can be a pain, occasionally. But it's worth it. It really is. I could go on and on about this coat, but I think you get the picture. It's awesome, and if you're looking for a crazy warm coat that also looks fierce, you've found it. Bonus: POCKETS GALORE!

Paige Marty: Very warm and cute! I purchased the green and it is like a sage green in person. The size is definitely true--I originally ordered one size up (so I could wear extra layers underneath) but it ended up being way too big. After ordering the next size down (what I generally wear for tops) it fits great and has room for a sweater underneath. The belt is also very flattering. My only recommendation would be that the coat were a little bit longer to cover more of my backside. Windy winters where I live are brutal, and more coverage would have been preferred.
