Hopeful: I wear an 8 - 10 in conventional women's size; a Chico's size 1. This pair by Columbia capri pants in size Medium was TOO SMALL. 5'3", 145 lbs. I'm going to size UP, and try a size large because I liked the quality and look of these pants.
PS - I have different pair of Columbia capris, size Medium that fit perfectly.

K. Carr: I really like these pants - I bought another pair. They don't look like hiking pants, yet they can be. I wore them on a white water rafting trip in Montana. Got soaked & they dried quickly - I was glad because I was a bit cold. Due to limited baggage when traveling , they had to be worn with nicer tops to restaurants & even church. I wear them around the house now all the time. Pockets are great for my phone. I wish they had more colors so I could buy more.

LS907: I'm one that scours reviews yet hardly writes them. But these pants were PERFECT. Very light weight and comfy. I wear a 16 in silver jeans and ordered rhe 1X in these and am glad I went up one size. I did notice a lot of people complain about the leg opening but the fit my fat calves fine with a little room. I'm going to order another pair!

LadybytheLake: They're very comfortable and a good length but look nothing like the picture on me. I'm a plus size woman with skinny chicken legs so that might be a part of the issue. I need the width to fit around my belly but the legs are more like culottes. I''m keeping them because I'll wear them around the house and in the garden.
