William R. Ogden: Seems good, but perhaps some more specific documentation would help. An air mattress should not be seen as a long-term very firm base. Too much air pressure is not good for the unit. Perhaps this should be more strongly documented --- especially for wives who think it should be like any other mattress!

Paul K. Stout: Had a spinal injury and could not sleep on a bed, futon, sofa, or even a lazy boy recliner. Gave this a try and it was a life (and sleep) saver. Slept on it exclusively for several months. Bought a second one in a larger size also. Great air mattress!

aimlen: Perfect for me, I'm 5'9" medium frame person. It's low to the ground but that didn't bother me. I like it because it's compact and easy to inflate and doesn't take up much room to store it. I've used it tent camping two or three times now and it held air just fine. No issues so far. Best features are: easy to inflate, compact, light weight, perfect for one person, economical. I can't rate durability because I haven't had it for years , but it appears to be sturdy.

Todd: disclaimer i purchased two and have used them both only one time so far. they held air well for a full week of camping, they are thinner than most air mattresses which i liked b/c easier to inflate and took up less room. very comfortable and a good length (i am 250lbs 6'2")

I have been in constant pain all my life. i have pain in my back, left hip and legs. My spine is shaped like a ltter "J".
I keep it the tiniest bit underinflated and it is like sleeping on a cloud. I'm enjoying the most comfortable sleep I've ever had. It's even more comfortable than sleeping on a high end mattress at a high end hotel during a work trip.
I use a small, portable hand pump to adjust the inflation level when it is inflated to add a little air without too much escaping.

I bought the Lucid Premium Hypoallergenic 100-Percent Waterproof Mattress Protector in Twin XL to keep the airbed clean and protected and it's a perfect fit.

amazon1: We have two sets of the Coleman attachable mattresses and have used them quite a bit over several years. We use the Coleman electric blower to inflate them. The valve on one of the original mattresses partially detached from the mattress making it unusable and this one is to replace it. I have found over time that these need to be inflated about as much as the blower can to have them work well. Lower inflation makes them difficult to stay on when sleeping. The double valve makes them easy to inflate but may have led to the valve failure. Use care when opening the inner valve so as not to damage the attachment to the mattress.

Ann: I'm in constant pain, and the most comfortable bed I've ever tried is the Coleman Twin Quickbed with a memory foam mattress topper on top of it. The air mattress gives the perfect combination of give with firm (but not hard), and the memory topper evens out the inherent lumpiness of any air mattress, while also stopping the air mattress from sucking all the heat out of my body (something you don't notice much using a sleeping bag, but definitely feel through sheets!).

The bit where you put air in has come a long way since air mattresses of my childhood. For one thing, it's large, and for another, it works in two steps. You extend the valve and put the pump nozzle in, then open the inner valve to add air. When you're done, you just leave the pump end in the valve and push, and voila, it's closed so no air come out when you remove the pump. Perfect inflation every time!

The larger valve opening also means emptying goes much faster.

Because I'm using this at home, all year long, I bought an electric Coleman air pump that plugs into the wall. When I saw in the instructions that you could only use if for 30 minutes at a time, I wasn't impressed....
