Anne L.: I bought this to get rid of the tiny pebble-like leftovers after scooping with my larger scoop for a nice and clean box. I use Fresh Step Outstretch kitty litter and found it worked perfectly. You do need to shake the shovel a bit to have clean litter to fall through. It is small so I wouldn’t buy if you want it for large clumps etc. I can’t answer if this would work for some of the other brands of litter.
