S. McCarty: I don't write a lot of reviews but felt that the quality of this belt was worth the effort. I've had a couple of these types of belts, with a ratcheting buckle and they're my favorite. My current belt is practically falling apart so I picked a decent one with lots of good reviews. I received the belt last night, put it together, and was immediately impressed with both the quality and look of the belt and the buckle. The rachet works really smoothly and holds the belt well. I picked the black combo and it's a really nice look... For the price, you can't beat it... I paid three times more for my first belts a few years ago when these types of belts were newer, so this is a great deal...
One thing to note - this was cut to size, so be careful to order one that is large enough. Mine was perfect and didn't require any cutting... Time will tell if the quality holds up, but at this price it's a small risk.

Tropicalspeed: I was skeptical when I ordered this belt.
I'm an older guy and other men in my boots will understand when I say "it is a chore to keep the pants up." Men change physically when they get old and conventional belts just don't seem to cut it any longer.
I was wearing for a long time, a belt with a military buckle but that was difficult to get set at just the right tightness and it was always wanting to slip.
Then I came across this belt.
This one works like a military buckle but with none of the drawbacks:
When tightening the belt around the waist, there is no need to release or push on anything. This thing works like a ratchet and here's why:
it is not going to slip because there is a heavy duty nylon strip sewn into the back of the belt that has teeth for a positive grip. There is a button that is pushed to release the ratchet and the buckle slips right off the belt. The nylon strip is not sewn onto the back of the buckle. No Sir. It is sandwiched in between the two layers of leather and a portion of the rear strip of leather is cutout to expose the nylon teeth. It is really well done.
The materials a 1st rate. The leather looks and feels quality....

Steve K.: I ordered the larger size as recommended since you can easily trim it smaller. This belt is super easy to tighten and release tension is a snap. I just traveled overseas and the TSA guys insisted I remove my belt before going through the metal detector. Instead of removing the whole belt I just removed the buckle which is very easy to do and then to reinstall it afterwards. The buckle is very nice looking and I'm sure the belt will last much longer than my current belts. The normal belts tend to look ragged after being fastened securely to hold up my pants but this design is amazing. I plan to order another color belt soon.

Grouchette: This isn’t for me, but my husband ordered this, and it’s seriously the ugliest belt I’ve ever seen. This is his “golfing belt”. But if you plan on moving into a retirement home in the near future and need something to keep this pants under your armpits, this is your belt. It’s not meant for anyone under the age of 70
