C.Bell: These dishes are even prettier in person than in pictures, but I've never seen melamine so thick. I have other sets that are half the thickness. Not complaining though. I love them.

John Campbell: I ordered the complete set for my wife and I. We used corelle set since the blue velvet roses came out man years ago. So I wanted something that would not break like stoneware-ceramic etc. These Portofino Dishes are fantastic and the price is wonderful. Love everything about the serving pieces also. Cannot wait to use them on our new outdoor dining area. The 11 inch plate dish held a two layer cake, that's how strong they are. Great Buy and thank-you Nancy Green for these from seniors here in the High Country of Pa.
