Cons- The tool might be too big for small pieces of glass. This CCC TEEZY Glass Cutter Tool is perfect for glass, mosaic and mirror cutting. It has a 2mm-20mm carbide tip and a pencil style oil feed for easy cutting. It also comes with two extra blades, a screwdriver and an oil dropper. Customers love this tool for its anti-corrosion metal head and diamond tip, which prevents it from wearing off. The handle provides a sturdy grip and prevents slipping due to sweat and water. The two extra heads and oil dropper also help prevent the blade from getting stuck. The only downside is that it might be too big for small pieces of glass.Amazon Customer: For the record, I have been cutting glass for some time, so I'm somewhat experienced. I own a frame shop and for most projects can use a Fletcher wall mounted glass cutter, but there are those times where it, being fixed, just won't work. That's when I've had to pull out the old hand cutters. We had a fairly large number of those cheap little cutters, and they were good for one cut...maybe. I ordered this little cutter to try to step up my game, and this thing performs. Zip, done. It scored the glass more quickly and fully than the old little cutters that we had always had to use. This will definitely be my go-to when I have to go full manual. So, definitely an upgrade and easy to do, esp. if you're experienced. If not try this: Mark where your cut will be and set up a straight edge fully supporting the glass on a flat surface, load the cutter with some oil (it doesn't need much and the amount will depend on the length of your cut), with moderate pressure, using the straight edge as a guide, pull the cutter from edge to edge on the glass in a smooth motion. Then, by either putting something round under the score, using a chasing tool, or using the edge of the table snap the glass....

Miffy: I recently needed to cut down some large, heavy, thick, wall size mirrors into sizes that could be safely discarded. I didn't want to risk injury by just breaking them up haphazardly, so I got this tool to try to score the mirrors before breaking them evenly into smaller segments. Admittedly, my task did not require any precision cuts, but the tool did manage to quickly score mirrors in several locations with a reasonably clean cut along the scored line. There was some uneven breakage, but probably owing to the fact that I was working quickly and was not aiming for precision. Reasonably priced for the job.

W. Coates: Seems like a high quality tool. Instructions are rather lacking. I had a piece of glass that needed cutting down for a picture frame. I haven't cut much glass before. But I have done enough to be familiar with the concepts. It is entirely possible, even likely, that I just suck at doing things, but where I started with enough glass for three of the frames I have, after doing what I felt was a diligent job of it all I have left is a pile of broken glass, a foul temper, and one picture frame that still needs glass. Need glass cut? Save yourself the headache, pay a pro to do it.

Nic: We've had a nice frame sitting around for years and finally decided to hang it up but needed a mirror to go with it. We spotted a big mirror that someone was getting rid of in front of their place, but needed to cut it to size to make it fit the frame. This cutting tool was cheap and actually seems like a much better quality than what I was imagining...I have not used a glass cutter before so I have nothing to compare it to, but it looks nice and feels solid.
Messed up on my first test run, but watched a few videos and got the hang of it. The trick was applying steady pressure from edge to edge while running the cutter over the glass just once without going over areas again. Stuck a wooden yardstick right under the middle of the scored line to add a little pressure and the mirror broke perfectly right along the line with hardly a tap. Saved a fortune on buying a new mirror and learned a handy DIY skill.

M. Penton: The tool did exactly what I needed it to do, cut glass. I had disassembled an older stereo cabinet which featured a glass door, sides and and top. This wasn't something I could just sit on the curb for pickup so I ordered the tool to cut the glass into pieces that could be safely boxed and trashed. Ran some gun oil in a line on the glass, used the large head and scribed the glass. Snapped it with my hands for the thin pieces and set the tool under the glass to snap by pressing down for the thicker pieces. Worked a treat.
