RobW: I used to carry a custom checkbook wallet for years, but I only write a check once a month at most. With all the cards, coins, bills, pictures, and stuff I put in it, it was very bulky and heavy. I wanted a simple leather wallet that isn't too bulky, but can fit all the essential cards and IDs I need. The modern slim card-holder wallets don't hold enough cards and make it difficult to pull out debit/credit cards and IDs.

This wallet is exactly what I need. It's leather, so it's not plastic that will degrade in a few years, and it's basic and stylish. Cards and cash are easy to access, and it's not heavy and bulky. The only thing I didn't care for is the saddle leather brown is too light-colored, so I used some Ballistol to intentionally darken and soften it a bit. (Ballistol is slightly alkaline, which breaks down the tannins/fats in the leather and softens and darkens it, like would happen over time when leather ages. This basically ages it faster.) Now it's easier to open and close, and has a medium brown color that I prefer.

The leather is thick and the sewing looks sturdy. And it does not have a finish, which I prefer, and this makes it so it does not slide easily in or out of your pocket.

This is a larger size wallet, which I like.

But, as I've read in reviews, the cool looking metal box it comes in was dented. And no response from the seller, which sucks. If I got a a metal box that was not dented, I'd give this a 5 or 5.

Rick Payne: I’ve always owned Coach wallets but they are just a bit pricey. This wallet is great. Same features as a $ 150.00 wallet at 1/3 the price. Plenty of slides for credit cards. Quality leather. Flip out viewing window for my drivers license so I don’t have to remove it. And a small removable mini wallet when you just need a card and an ID. Love the bifold. Great product.

lyleeuhlyleeuh: This wallet needs to be BROKEN IN like a baseball glove. It will then shrink to fit around your credit cards. For all the people saying it’s too big -THIS IS A MAN’S WALLET. The more your use it, the smoother it gets. The oversized flaps will get shiny and less obtrusive over time. The natural oils of your hands will settle this wallet down and if you ever need to overstuff it, the extended flap helps the situation. I thought this thing was too big at first. MeganMegan: The wallet itself is lovely. I can’t say about how good it is to use as it was bought as a present however the tin it came in as nice as it was came extremely damaged and bashed in (it looked as though someone had jumped on it several times during delivery) however that isn’t any fault of Amazon as I do not believe it was shipped this way
