Michael: I bought a new mower last year and it does not have a drain plug. The mower has to be tipped on its side to drain the oil out of the filler tube.
This is a better alternative. I'm able to suck the oil out of the crankcase without tipping the mower on its side. Warming up the engine helps.

Scottland: I bought this to suction out and remove motor oil and coolant (thick viscous fluids) from recessed portions of my engine compartment, where I couldn't get to otherwise. I didn't have a hose attachment small enough to use my shop-vac and it felt like overkill anyway.
The hose/tube on this item was plenty long enough and "rigid" enough to reach into the cavities where oil had pooled, and even sturdy enough that i could kinda wedge the tubing into the spot so I could use both hands to operate the syringe - it was too large to easily use one hand to pull the stopper, coupled with the thicker fluid. It was able to easily suck up and spit out the oil.

Alan: I have an aftermarket transmission dipstick that has a nonmetallic stick. The tube is tiny, so filling is impossible with even a funnel. This fit the bill.
If you overfill your transmission, the long tube that comes with it will allow you to extract fluid, which can save your seals. Great item to have in the toolbox.

Rumpelstiltskin: Like the title says; the plastic that you receive will make or break your opinion about this product. It’s a good syringe and has nice suction if you can get the piece of plastic aligned. It seems designed for one end to attach but, to use the item I had to hold the tube to the syringe.
If you order this kit just exercise the plunger a few times before using or you’ll punch yourself in the face while trying to draw fluid if that’s what you’re using it for. It loosens up.
Delivery was fine the item arrived intact. I used this to swap out some steering fluid and it worked. It’ll serve it’s purpose but if there’s an issue with the plastic I’m sure the seller would send out another tube to try. The tubing that come with it was the only reason for the loss of a star.
