bought it: Couldn't decide between 100w or 50w. The 50w works great! I've fixed plastic bumpers, cracked dashes, etc. I can be an art, so practictice first. The dashes I glued also after the repairs just to make sure. The bumper covers I did not and the repair is holding strong after 1 year.

MarkMark: I got this thinking it would fail; for the price, it was worth the risk.
I am blown away by how well this is still working for me (I've shoveled snow a few times post-fix, and it's holding like it was new).
While it won't work with all plastics, it works for all the ones I would previously just throw out.

Chris: I saw these on a facebook ad so naturally I hopped over to Amazon to see what they were about. This one has good reviews so I figured Id try it out. My use for it was to try to repair 2 heavy duty trash cans that the trash service had busted up pretty bad, to the point where they were gaped open on the sides and the trash pandas were pulling trash out.

Cut to repair time. Basically plug it in, insert the staple of choice (Wavy is by far the best) and pull the trigger. Instantly the wire heats up like a small heating element and it will melt its way into the plastic.
I used almost everything that came in the kit on these 2 cans, so I would say buy a refill pack for sure. you are basically stitching the break back together. After I was done, I was like...so how do I break the ends off smooth? I just grabbed my grinder with a diamond blade and cleaned it up like that. You will need something other than the wire cutters provided.
The repair was very solid, I went ahead and purchased the plastic welder that melts the plastic over the repair to help make it solid. Once I did that, It was as sturdy as ever. It survived the next trash pick up lol.
