Feature by feature, the CAMMHD D1-32gb (accessible micro-SD card memory), is a design that’s I’ve used myself in the past. And having multiple body-cams from various providers, I feel a bit more comfortable in using the CAMM-design. This particular camera is ‘menu intuitive’ and the controls are large and easy to access.
I’ve found through using the CAMMHD series body cams, reliability, build-quality and easy access to power and video record-on and off, are the first things I think of. I’ve also used cams that, for secure handling of recorded events, are only ‘memory-accessible’ via docking or special cable access. While necessary for providing audit-trails for the handling of evidence, if you’re the principal user in a stand-alone occupation, managing yourself, removable memory, as with this body cam, can be a bonus.
For non-agency-controlled handling of files, removable memory offers me the ability to ‘pull and safe’ an entire card. It’s a bit more secure if I’m in the field. I can safely secure what was recorded and also put the card into a folder along...
