Conall: Light, clean, odour free. Robust.

Shon F. Douglas: Compatible with my ski back pack and running vest. Doesn't taste plastic-y or anything. The on/off valve works perfectly. Would recommend a thermally protected sleeve option if going skiing.

bulldog: I love my CamelBak! There is no leaking and the replacement fits perfectly in my CamelBak. The fill top is pretty large, allowing for a quick fill and can include ice cubes if you want. I drain it after each use so I really have not needed to clean it. The mouthpiece is easy to use and I could not be happier with this product. I am so glad I did not cheap out on this.

Phil Sharpe: Large opening to fill up from and importantly, to empty and keep dry when not using. Good quality, worth the money.

Thomas of Pacific NW: This 2 liter reservoir does exactly what it is designed to do!

I tested it in my off design 22 liter pack, but it will work for larger packs too.
No leaks! Even when I had the hose block open the mouth piece stayed closed and didn't leak even while on the move. But nice to have the hose block feature on the mouth piece, in case I sit on it, or squash it under my pack when I set it down. I tugged fairly hard on the hose, and it did not pull off the reservoir. But, just in case, you can take off the hose at its release feature, while full, and the reservoir does not leak. I also squeezed the reservoir hard and no leaks.

Its sleek profile and over all design does not noticeable cut into the volume of the pack, even when the reservoir is completely full. It has a nice handle on the reservoir lid, for easier opening and tighter closing, which lays flat. In my pack I prefer to place the lid away from my back in as turning it towards my back makes it less comfortable, but that's probably obvious.
For me 2 liters is good for most day hikes, but for back packing it is difficult to fill with a water filter. However, not really a problem for me, as I always have...

Matt: I bought this product after reading mostly positive reviews - but some reviews said it leaked, it was hard to fill completely and the water tasted bad. The only problem I had with leaking was the one time I didn't get the cap on right. However, I always turn it upside down before putting it in my bag to check for leaks. There's a trick to getting the cap on correctly: when you put the cap on first spin it slowly counter-clockwise like you're unscrewing it until you click a "click." That sound is the threads engaging and lining up. Then screw it clockwise and tighten as normal. I agree that it shouldn't require a "trick" but once I figured this out I can quickly and easily get the cap on correctly. The hose connects with a solid "click" and I've had no leaks from that connection.

The second issue I've seen in reviews is that it's hard to completely fill, and this is true if you try to get every last drop possible in it. However, I questioned how much water this actually holds so I completely filled the reservoir and poured it out into my 2 liter measuring cup. It held about 2.2 liters. So it is hard to put 2.2 liters into a 2 liter reservoir, but it's easy to fill to the 2L...

JD: Some things you don't want to skimp on, and apparently a reservoir is one of them. I think this is my 5th reservoir in what seems like a short amount of time. Had a High Sierra one originally that was great and lasted for years, but I neglected to clean it like I should once and it molded and that was the end. Didn't matter what I tried.

So next I tried the Aquatic Way Hydration Bladder. The first time there was a leak, so I got a replacement. Then the nozzle failed, so I tried it once more. But no matter what I did, it would always leak just a little. Plus the hose is super long and never seemed to conveniently fit any backpack.

I finally got fed up and decided to go brand name again. This one seemed reasonably priced, and since giving it a try I haven't regretted it since. Right length for the hose, easy to use, never once leaked (minus when I didn't close the lid right once, ha!). Plus you can detach the hose and refrigerate the unit if you're going to be on a hot hike. Been very happy with this purchase. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Xamul Vang: Overall, I like this water bladder. It's got a unique design that helps you hold and fill it easily. Unfortunately, it's biggest strength is also one of it's weaknesses.

The handle offers a very convenient way of holding the bag while filling, but the cap cannot be screwed back on while you're holding the handle. I believe some of the trouble is that when you fill it very full, the mouth of the bladder flexes with the weight of the water and prevents the cap from closing properly. You have to do a little acrobatics with the actual bladder and angle the mouth just right so that the cap will close properly. I've had a few surprises because of this flaw.

I still think it's a great bladder. Once you figure out how to hold the bladder and close the cap, it works great. The handle just needs some refinement, maybe using a stronger material so that the mouth doesn't flex when the bladder is full.
