J W: I just needed a displayport to hdmi adapter after a gpu upgrade, but for the same price got this which can also go to dvi and vga if I need it at some point.
I've had zero issues whatsoever with any dropouts which I've seen on some cheaply made adapters so so far so good

WLJ: Office Depot wanted $36 for a DisplayPort to SVGA (only) adapter. Saved over $20 and this supports 3 different display connection types. Worked perfectly as soon as it was plugged in.

EMcNeil: I gave this a 4 overall becuase it doesn't work as a dual monitor connector, however, it does work really well for 1 external monitor connector for your laptop
