I did some research and this monitor has a DVI-I port which should connect to a VGA port. I bought this cable and plugged my PC VGA to the monitor's DVI-I port, and it worked with good picture quality. The build quality of the cable is very good.

Kevin B.: I recently repurposed a KVM switch with DVI-I / DVI-D inputs and outputs, but lacked suitable cables for connecting the VGA outputs on my server machines to the KVM switch. Likewise for the VGA input to the display that I'm using. What's important in this case is that the KVM switch be compatible with DVI-I cables (and signals). I checked this carefully prior to ordering. I'm happy to say that these Cable Matters cables worked perfectly for this application.

I'm using them to connect VGA outputs to DVI-I inputs (on my KVM switch) and then another of these cables to connect the DVI-I output of the KVM switch to a VGA input of a monitor. What they won't do is convert an analog signal to a digital signal or vice versa. So, if they don't work (assuming you don't have a defective cable), it's...

David F. Pierre, Jr.: I needed this cable for a projector. I connected the DVI-I end of the cable to my projector, and then I connected the VGA end to a VGA-to-HDMI adapter, which went into my laptop. (My newer model laptop did not have a VGA input.) Voila! I can now project from my laptop. It worked great!
