B Meyer: We recently went on a two week tent camping trip with night temperatures in the 30s. I am typically a very cold person and need it warm. These sleeping bags are so warm, I could not feel the outside at all! They immediately keep you warm. We slept on an air mattress as well, could NOT feel one bit of coldness. They are AWESOME. I gave these five stars based on how well they work. There is one flaw and that is the Velcro on the outside will stick to the sleeping bag and snags it. We are going to get another piece of Velcro and cover it, so it doesn’t happen again.

alex: Although it is bigger and heavier than I would like, for winter camping its perfect. Trust me, you don't want to get out of this sleeping bag during the night or in the morning!

California 1254: I am 5ft 4 female who freezes when it's 50 degrees out camping at night. I can't warm back up once I'm cold and it wrecks camping for me. I've tried going with cheaper $40 bags, and I have to use an extra heavy blanket inside. Even then, it takes at least an hour to warm up with socks, heavy clothes, jacket, and hat, which make sleeping uncomfortable. I bought this bag knowing it was big, but I'd do anything to not freeze at night.

This bag literally had me sweating in pants and a tank top - a welcome change. it's long, the width is good, and the top has a drawstring. I used my pillow folded in half to fit inside, and the drawstring was unnecessary/didn't work for me. The best features are the padded bulkiness/weight of it (helps me sleep) and the extra piece of padded fabric along the neck/shoulder-line that blocks out cold air from coming in where the bag naturally opens (this was my fav. feature). The outside is slightly slippery, inside feels like quilted blanket.

Fear: wouldn't be able to repack it. It has really durable built-in straps on the casing and on the bag itself. It's extremely well made. When I tried to roll it up, the three buckles didn't exactly...

Dr.James Carlow: Not ideal for my needs. I'm a backcountry camper with a canoe. This bag is heavy and large. It took me fifteen minutes just trying to wrestle it back into its bag.

If you're sledding in, or snow machining it, sure. I just thought I'd need something warmer for a recent late-season excursion. I returned it immediately and stuck with my trusty down bag from MEC. I just brought an extra layer...wool blankets will always keep you from the grave.

And another thing, a bag like this is a half ton of synthetic material. If you care about the environment you might pass on that alone.

AG: Used this bag for spring camping in a tent in Alberta, where temps dipped below freezing at night. There was frost on my tent a couple nights and I slept great. Warmed up quickly getting in it and it’s so huge I didn’t struggle getting in, moving around in it like other bags. I didn’t use a thermal pad, just an air mattress and not once did I wake up freezing like in the past. The hood can sort of act as a second pillow which I like. Size wise, it basically takes up a whole seat of a car, but if you’ve got the space for this thing, 100% recommend.

A Gerrard: Very cost effective sleeping bag I use for hunting in Alberta canada in November (-30C) in either a tent or a enclosed cargo trailer. I’ve never been cold in it and it’s quite comfy. It’s very large and heavy so not one I would want to backpack with and the material isn’t very strong or fire resistant (don’t have near open flame or sparks). Overall for under $200 it’s a excellent cold weather bag.

JkaJka: Well for one immediately when I received.
This product it was used! Secondly it had a mold smell to it. Not happy about that at all!
it should of been inspected properly a little spary fragrance don't hide mold it needs sunlight oxygen absorbers in the layers when stored.I will include how I know it was used in photo.I inspect everything. Minor things I can look past.I am keeping the product. Also explain a few things to help everyone out.
With mold or mold smells direct sunlight opened up 4 hours one side 4 hours other side otherwise 2 days should solve it. prewashed btw the material is pretty delicate on the outside to clean it to many times so only when needed simple paper towel soap basic cleaning.
Immediately remove the Velcro from the outside it will shredd your bag how I knew it was used in the first place. Other then strands of fiber the bag is not made of inside it among other tell tale signs. It's a huge bag huge I like it personally but if your hiking quite far it's very bulky 6'1 155lbs it's bulkier then my torso it's not that heavy for a few days or a week at all to carry 10-15 lbs no biggie. You could use a sled or pull cart if needed easily. It's very...

Anna: Pulled this bad boy out of the box (that I am now living in), and immediately had to fight the dog off because she decided this swell new zippered cloud would be hers. We compromised and shared in the living room while watching a movie to test the comfort level. It passed.

The zippers work, which is always a plus. The bag itself is very long, I was able to scoot all the way down to the bottom and have my head completely covered, and I'm 5'7" so that made me giddy. The width is no joke either, at last there's a bag that doesn't feel like I've been wrapped up in a spiderweb, awaiting the sweet release of death.

This bag is absolutely not for backpackers, it's massive, but if you're in a camper, or go car/van camping, are a trucker, you're suffering a Canadian winter, or any other situation where you may face the cold but aren't a backpacker, this bag is an excellent choice. I wouldn't rely on it being suited for -30c unless you're prepared with layers, socks, and a sleeping pad. The bag itself is only as good as whatever else you pair it with, so keep the cold from seeping in beneath you and you should be fine. So far, car camping in January with a 4" memory foam...

Jay L.: I do a lot of road travel and sometimes I’m not able to get a hotel in the towns that I have to go to. Sometimes I will end up sleeping in the back of my work van. I wanted to get something that would keep me warm during cold winter nights. Wow, I know it’s rated for -30, but this thing is warm, very warm! I can’t say enough good things about it and I’m extremely happy that I purchased it. I also love that it’s very roomy, so I don’t feel bound up when I turn over like in mummy-style tapered bag.
It’s definitely bulky and heavy so it wouldn’t be the most easy thing to take backpacking, but it will keep you warm wherever you’re able to use it.
The first night I used it, I had a t-shirt and gym shorts on and it was about 25 degrees outside... I actually was too warm and had to take off my t-shirt and gym shorts and just sleep in my boxers. The next night was a little colder and I had about a 1/2” of ice on the inside of my van windows in the morning, but I was toasty warm all night again just sleeping in my boxers. The only bad thing I can say (if it’s even a bad thing) is that it’s so good warm and comfortable that I don’t want to get out of it in...
