jonathan: I'm a newbie when it comes to guns, so I was scared about which gun cleaning kit to buy for my 9mm Springfield Hellcat because I didn't want to spend money on something and have it not work out. This kit however gave me EVRYTHING I needed to do the job. It has the cotton squares, the brass brushes (manufacturers recommend brash brushes) the nice little tool to stick the cotton squares through so you can run it through the barrel, and it all comes in a variety of sizes so even if you have a different caliber gun you still have what you need for that caliber. Like I said, I'm a new guy, but this kit is honestly sooo easy to use and soo compact so you can store it anywhere.

BusterBuster: Cleaning kit came without packaging. Just the zippered case, and a barcoded sticker on the outside of the case.
Inside everything appears to be in place as described in the description. I received a LOT more cleaning patches than expected, but that's not a bad thing.
Upon first glance the parts look to be put together well for the price. Nothing flexed or was prone to easily bending or breaking. It took me a while to notice, but all the bore brushes jags are etched with the caliber they're designed for. It's something you'll see if you're concerned as to which piece to use with your gun, but simple use, you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it. The zipper appears to be good quality.
The threads of the rods feel a bit rough, but I figure after a few uses, they'll screw on easier.
The 22 brush is tight to the point where I couldn't force it through the barrel without potentially bending the brush or rod. The 9mm was reasonably tight, the 40 and 45cal are of the tightness you'd expect with regards to gun barrels.
For a traveling cleaning kit, this is pretty good. My only complaint/desire is a place to store small bottle of cleaner. Though I'm sure if I...
