PK Van Halen: I have some deficits in motor skills as well as some stiffness in my hands and wrists that make it difficult to write by hand. I had read somewhere that fat pens might be helpful and that is why i ordered these pens almost a year ago.

Upon first use, I did not like these pens. They are very uncomfortable to hold and write with. They are way too lightweight. They also fall apart as you are writing with them. The barrel unscrews itself, the grip slides off, and the tip pushes inside of the pen with any pressure at all. The ink is of abysmal quality too, and it is an exceedingly unpleasant sensory experience - not unlike nails on a chalkboard or dental scraping lol. It doesn’t help to use more pressure, it only makes the pen break faster.

I always keep 2 pens in a side zipper pocket of my purse. There is never anything else in that pocket and it stays zipped closed until I need a pen. Every single time I have ever needed one of these pens, I unzip the pocket to see that both pens have fallen apart completely - every separate part is loose in there. This happens just from motion of my purse as I carry it.

It is more than apparent that these pens are manufactured...

yvonne: Nice chunky pens for my dad who has Parkinson’s disease, unfortunately whilst trying them out 3 of the them didn’t work so had to use the refills that came with them!! Thank god for the refills, but for the price all in all good value, as long as the new refills last more than 1 minute after use.
