talia: Esau came out red and hairy not black ( white people come from esau) ... Noah is not white. Japhet is black not white . Jacob did not trick Esau , esau sold his birthright for soup . Jacob did not wrestle with angels to become a nicer person... this book smells of Christian white supremacy doctrine . The bible is black history but the message within is saying that white people are isrealites too . And they are not the chosen ELECT . Every character in this book should be black except for ESAU. Instead Noah and Japhet are painted white. You can keep my 20$ and I hope the author uses that money to repent . Foolishness.

Ugo Eboh: WATTS - 8th Aug 2020

I don't tend to do reviews, but I really like this book and well done to the author. Like some have said I'd like more stories in there as that would be super powerful, but the colour depiction of Japheth is huge and has allowed for many conversations I can have with my kids today.

The reason I'm actually writing this review, is to specifically respond to the WATTS review on the 8th August 2020. I think it's really important that if you get chance (and haven't already), that you read the Book of Enoch. Noah was not a white man, he was a Black man...but an Albino black man. And when you read the story of him it's actually quite terrifying, because his Dad think's he's one of the offspring from the fallen angels that is talked about in Genesis before the flood, and is terrified of him and runs away from his birth when he sees him. You could probably imagine it today as a Black man, being presented with a child that looks 100% like you features wise, but is completely what you may deem to be the "wrong" colour you were expecting.

By embracing this truth about Noah, you give yourself the opportunity to have a really in-depth conversation with...

Kudzai M.: I love the illustrations. My boys get to see more faces that look like them. My son was so happy he said they have hair like mine

Dee: My daughter loved reading this. It generated a lot of good questions which led to great dialogue about who we are. Such a positive and more accurate illustration of the bible. The illustrations are bold and beautiful and the text is easy to read.

Tianna Roberts: Really cute book.
