Black + Decker 9-Pound Capacity Portable Washing Machine (BPWM09W)

kenken: I have had this washer for just over 2 months now and I am well pleased with it. I did my research on different washing machines (that can be used without hookups) beforehand and decided on this one in part because of the warranty and the brand. It works well, simply no issues there. The way it washes seems a little strange, as it will swish the clothes around for maybe 1-2 min, then stop for 1-2 min. It still washes my clothes well. It is smaller than a typical washing machine of course and can't hold as many clothes. The spin cycle gets them dry enough that when I leave them on a drying rack indoors, they dry usually in about 24 hrs.

It is not that loud, although that wouldn't really be an issue. You can hear the water swish in the machine, you can hear the sink when its filling with water, you can hear water rushing out when it drains, and you can hear the motor working to make the clothes move, although I'd say that's the same noise level as the water swishing as the clothes move.

I live in a pretty small apartment with no hookups and wanted to save money from not going to the laundromat and I wanted the comfort of doing laundry in my own home. I fully recommend...

B: I have been using this machine for almost a year now and waiting for this time to make my review, as I wanted to make sure that it was a good machine that would continue to work and be durable with me having to move it from bathroom to a storage area when I have to use it. This thing has exceeded all marks that I have had for my expectation of it. It has taken loads of clothes, towels, bedding, doggy pee pads, since I got a puppy, and it handled them all like attack. I’ve had no issues whatsoever other than user errors in the case of it, not draining, because I decided to put four towels in it; I may be should’ve rubbed a few more brain cells together on that one, knowing that towels absorb.

My only issue now, and I use the term issue for lack of a better word, because it really isn’t an issue. Other than a personal one is that now that I have moved I have gooseneck fountains but I am unable to attach the hose to the fountain, and I have to find some form of an adapter to do so so if anyone is in a similar situation and looking to buy this, I would recommend trying to find an adapter as well rather than buying a product, and then being left, unable to use it. Ruth: I didn't expect this to be as great as it is. Honestly, I was hoping for a little washer that would reduce the need to go to the Laundromat, not eliminate it entirely! The only thing I haven't washed in this are my comforter and floor mats. But sheets, towels, clothing, everything else I've put in this and it's been incredible. It probably COULD do my floor mats, I just haven't tried. I'm so impressed with this little machine and run it a few times a week, easy. I like the options for soak and spin cycles and how user-friendly it is. It also doesn't require a lot of soap (seriously, use half as much soap as you think you should or you'll need another rinse to get it all out) which is nice. So far it's been very durable but we've only owned it a few months so time will tell but I've put it through a lot already and it's still working and looking like new. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants a smaller profile washer, or needs one that can move around easily. This is perfect.

whitemage: Does the job. Needed to buy a plumbing fitting to plug to the water supply.

Need to do small loads but it works good.
Purchased a caddy with it, makes the moving around very easy.

The washer is silent and does not shake when put level.

Cherrelle: I wanted to upload a video of me, unpackaging the washer machine. I can say the delivery was done well & I had no dents and I am pleased with Amazon delivery services. To be honest, this washing machine is basically a starter kit, I kind of wish I got the bigger one, but I am still pleased with it. When looking at the reviews I just wanted to honestly know how many items can fit in it since it was the smaller version of the Black & decker machine. I work at a hospital and of course we wear scrubs, so washing is very vital to me because I have to wash my scrubs very often. I am 5’9, and my scrubs are a size large top and bottom. I was able to fit in 4 scrub jogger pants, 3 scrub tops, and two scrub jackets with 1 undershirt & 3 underwear & 2 bras. So a total of 15 items. I would say fill to your own capacity, I had no problem with the items that I put in because they weren’t denim and they were soft clothing. It washed excellent, spins great, and rinsed wonderfully! And the items were super dry when they came out and not wet and soggy. I have carpet in my unit so I would recommend a dolly. Pam Baile: i love the convenience, and for the most part, it does a good job. The cycles spend a lot of time on "spin".
I would like to see longer "wash" and "rinse" cycles. It is easy to hook up !

Sandy: Mostly pleased with this washer, it cleans better than expected and is very easy to use. One improvement that could be made is the program cycle, You can set the wash time for upto 20 minutes however it pauses during that cycle, not sure why, if it's supposed to be washing?? Also the rinse cycle is very short, so it fills with the rinse water then 3 minutes later it's dumping it out, not sure why it's so short for rinsing. Pros are it does spin well so the clothes are not soaking when they come out which means less drying time.

EvelynEvelyn: This was definitely the best choice I made. This is not a very large machine, but it is ideal for apartments and places without installing a larger machine. It washes very well and its centrifuge is great, at the end of the wash the clothes are just damp, without much water. I almost gave up on the purchase because the seller has no information about the size and thickness of the faucet connector that comes with the machine and I didn't know if it would be easy to plug into my faucet. But yes, the connector fit on every faucet in the house. I took a tape measure and took a picture and put it on top of the connector that came with the machine. It's not that perfect, but I hope it helps other people who have the same question. The tape measure is in centimeters

Apenas la tengo por 3 días y ya la usé 7 veces. Eso sí, tardó casi un mes en enviarse (Amazon Internacional Standard) desde la fecha de compra. Aproximadamente 20 días. El envío sólo fue de 2 días.

Las medidas de profundidad contando la manguera de desagüe es de 48cm, la medida de ancho con espacios laterales recomendados es de 45cm y la altura es de 78cm.

Es decir, una ves que la abres y sacas de la caja, es muy bonita y da ternura por lo compacta. Pero esa es su ventaja.

Las cargas habituales que realice fueron de :
15 boxers talla M, o 5 a 7 playeras talla M o G, o 2 pantalones de mezclilla talla 32.

No la llenes a más de 3/4 de ropa seca.

Detergente se recomienda usar los que tienen el logo "he" high efficiency (alta eficiencia). En mi caso recomiendo el detergente mexicano "Newen" de venta también en Amazon. Ya que es biodegradable y concentrado (alcanza a lavar bien con una a tres cucharadas 10 a 30ml) en lugar de los detergentes comerciales que usas tapas de más de 100ml. Aún así en las instrucciones se recomienda usar la mitad de lo que dicen los envases.
