Simona: I needed to secure my drop-cloth curtains (pretty thick fabric) on my patio, so the wind wouldn't blow them around. I have two per opening in
between posts (my patio is covered). I have them on a bar on top, and I tie them to the posts in the middle with nautical rope. When windy, I unfold them, and I tie them to the posts on the bottom, and to each other. However, I noticed that they need to be tied to the posts in the middle as well. That is why I needed these grommets. Skeptical at first, I was amazed at how well this worked. I only wish the grommets were bigger, but I will make do with this size.

TYLER GRAILICH: Pleasantly surprised with how easy the tool is to use, how easy it was to make the grommets in the fabric I was using, and how simple the entire process was overall. I was expecting more to it. But it’s literally finding one of each metal piece, pop them in the right place on the tool, and squeeze. I was expecting to have to cut holes and the metal pieces to not stay with the tool, and things having to line up perfectly. Nope. Very easy! Very pleased. As the instructions note, make sure you only have one of each metal eyelet. The little buggers like to stick with each other.

RSK: I needed to put some drainage holes along the edges of a canopy so the rain wouldn’t collect and cause huge pouches that would weigh down the rather flimsy frame. I decided grommets would be the best way to do this, but I was concerned about how hard it would be to apply them. This device was fantastic. My hands don’t work very well, but I was able to apply these grommets by stabilizing the device on the dining room table and leaning on it. It did not take much force. I’m very happy with the results and very happy with this device.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I have tried it a couple of times - but was not impressed with the outcome. But this was just
lack of practice plus the photo on Amazon for this product showing how to place the grommet is not clear.
The tool is great and does the job properly. The photos show how to place the grommet, then you must press firmly to get a good result.

SamDee: I received this tool after waiting a longer time than normal for an Amazon item ,several times almost giving up waiting and opting for a local product that may or may not do the job I want done
however patience prevailed and I was using it 20 minutes after receiving it and it was worth waiting for it as it was the easiest I have ever used (not the I have used one before) and finished the job in 20 minutes
and looked great as well as functioned as expected
now if only I can get different size attachments for it I can do a lot more

Douglas B. Polkinghorne: Tool works well. I installed 120 grommets on some heavy duty Poly tarp pieces. The tool punches the hole and secures the grommet in one action. No problems at all. No adjustments required. I did have a couple installation failures. Not a big deal. The grommets are aluminum and not really heavy duty but for general use, no issues. You get 500 grommet sets. Be careful to make sure you separate the flat disc part of the grommet set as they stick together and you might be trying to install one top and two discs. That won't work.
