Artist JoyArtist Joy: I bought a set of Papermates and Bics. I love my Bic Velocity so I was hoping these would be as smooth. Yup, They are the smoothest colored pens i know of. Much smoother feel than the Papermates. The finger rest is shaped and is much more comfortable. The ink flows better and does not skip.
Read my notes. Then buy these. You don't need a black anyway. You already have a black I am sure.
And the orange Papermate is useless. Maybe as a thin highlighter....So in essence both sets offer 4 real colors. And the Bics win.

E. Oliver: Vibrant colors, super smooth writing, good ink flow, bold lines. Just so everyone knows, tips can get a little goopy and ink can smear a little. These are things that are mostly expected with extra bold ballpoints. Overall great pens.

R. Furr: I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these pens. The ink flows smoothly and evenly, the shape and grip of the pen is comfortable. They are really fun to write with and they have a nice medium writing point that I really like. I'm not a fan of fine point pens so these pens were just my style. The colors are great. You can't beat them for the price. I'm going to order more soon.

Mags: I really like these pens and so does my son.

These pens come in 4 different colors and each has a matching comfort grip. The flow of the ink is comfortable and nice feeling. The ink is not clumpy, which is extremely important to us left-handers, and doesn't smear all over the page.

My son is an artist and enjoys using different mediums. Once he saw these pens he was all about adding them to his art tool kit. He was quick to grab them out of the mail and try them out. He has been using them nonstop in his artwork, and also has taken up "fancy" writing as a new hobby and has been using these pens there are well.

Ana . Qnb: This is my favourite pen. It's soft, super comfy & thick ballpoint pen. Although the light green one is not readable & I don't normally use it, the rest are readable & dark enough (colourful) to use. Unfortunately I got two same colours and missed one colour, which is not a big deal ;)

Stephen BorgStephen Borg: This is a decent set (8) of ink pens that write well and have vibrant colors. My preferred color ink pen has been a 1.0 mm Paper Mate Inkjoy Quatro 4-color pen and I compared it to the BIC Velocity 1.6 mm pens. The BIC pens have a wider tip (1.6 vs 1.0) and they do create a slightly bolder line when viewed side by side. The ink color on both is very uniform and solid. The BIC pens do have a nice feel and write very smoothly with no sticking. Overall these are good quality pens that I will enjoy using.

The first photo shows the ink color quality of the BIC pens. The 2nd photo is a comparison of the Paper Mate Quatro 1.0 mm and the BIC Velocity Bold 1.6 mm pens for each color. The upper letters were written by the Paper Mate 1.0 and the lower set were by the BIC 1.6 mm. The 4 line pairs compare the Paper Mate (left) & BIC (right) side by side.

NOTE: I have noticed complaints of pens like these about leaking and leaving blobs of ink on the paper. I have learned to NOT store these pens in the vertical position and this seems to solve that problem.
