New to bamboo...: This is very much a “Better Crocker”-type book! Very “politically” dated (1957), and lots of “product-placements” of specific brands!!
However, my mom bought it for me when I was six, and I’m pretty sure I made every recipe in it (I even saved-up my allowance to one-time-buy the “dried beef” for “three men in a boat”).
I now have 3 grandsons (5,6,and 7) who use it under “supervision+discussion”!! It has lots of great “talking points”, learning points (“what?! NO microwave??”), and prompts great nostalgic conversations!

It has recipes and instructions that are intriguing to children and young cooks and easy to follow. Lauren: The recipes and photos are prints of the original book, but this is in a convenient spiral-bound book. The recipes are easy and fun for kids, well laid-out and easy to understand and execute. I gave this to my little sister and she adores it!
I have a copy for myself as well because I love the nostalgia of it, and many of the recipes are useful for everyday cooking. A super book at a great price!
