Randy PaschkeRandy Paschke: My old mesh hammock finally gave out on me so I looked at a few brands and settled on Bear Butt. The price was right and that’s our Nick name for our dog Boe! I have it set up on my porch and it’s worlds better that my old hammock in terms of comfort and the feeling of durability. I’m 6’5 300lbs so naturally I needed a well made product. Spent last night swinging in this hammock watching a storm roll, couldn’t be happier with the purchase! Need to get the straps for it though as it only came with the rope (which is heavy duty and have no issues with it) if you can’t tie a knot, tie a lot! I will definitely but another whenever the time comes.

Nathan Glenn: This hammock was great but definitely set up for the purchase of additional items. I only wish it came with better looped straps like they sell separately. I would pay a little extra for them. Overall comfortable and held my 250# no problem. Have not tried with two people but might be pushing it?

MJ: I bought this because I always wanted an ENO and they are pretty expensive (2x the price of this one)
Overall very happy with, seems built well enough. I would be careful having any sharp objects as the fabric is thinner than an ENO for sure (items like pens, dog claws, sharp pointy fingernails, sticks)
I also wouldnt call this a 2 person, 2 kids maybe or 2 adults sitting up. I have a true 2 person woven hammock and 2 adults can lay side by side inside it.
It's plenty space for one person. Colours are very nice and a bit brighter toned than in picture. Hammock packs into the bag, no room for straps, wrap those around. Also advise buying climbing webbing for straps, 1"/wider surface area for wrapping around trees saves the trees and is safer than cheap rope!

Rebecca Bottomley: I bought this for my sister because I got the same one for myself a few months ago and I am just really happy with it. It doesn’t feel cheap and the material holds up. It’s comfortable to lay in and also comfortable holds 2 people. I love how easily it packs up as well. I will recommend spending the extra money on the straps- what a life changer, makes setting up wicked fast and easy!

Jeffrey Dean: Bear Butt Double Parachute Camping Hammock: UPDATE:

This week marks one full year of sleeping in my Bear Butt Hammock every night, in lieu of a bed. (Technically next week, but I didn't want to forget) I just re-read what I wrote last year and there is nothing I want to change or add except possibly this little anecdote. Next month I will be spending a couple of weeks in NYC. I just bought another hammock stand to take with me to use in place of the hotel beds. By having a second stand, I don't have to dismantle this one, plus it will be shipped up in advance. I Love my Bear Butt so much, I don't want to do without it. Plus, wouldn't you take your bed with you if you could? :-D Thanks Bear Butt!!
