Amazon Customer: We love this toddler helper. My 3 year old (but has been using since much younger) loves to be able to see what we're doing, either cooking and cleaning. It encourages him to be part of the process of our kitchen tasks. It takes a lot of stress of me because I don't have to hold him to wash his hands or if he wants to see what I'm cooking/chopping. Many people visiting our house don't notice it until my toddle climbs in and then they are amazed, saying it's the coolest thing. It's sturdy and I haven't had any concerns about it not being able to hold his weight.
Tip: We put felt bottoms so that it can slide across our floors easily and not make a lot of noise.

Mommo HMommo H: We LOVE this stool!! Purchased for our 1.5 year old so he could be included more in the kitchen shenanigans and it's perfect! He can climb up and down easily. Good quality wood.. Our little one stands (or sits) there frequently throughout the day. The only reason I took away a star is because it shifts around easily when he rocks back and forth fidgeting. To solve this I put velcro command strips on the bottom so it will stick to the floor but can still be moved around if we need to. Plus, we QUICKLY learned that he can step on the side panel and reach farther, or climb onto the counter, so we screwed plexiglass to the side panels. No regrets with this purchase as it is probably our favorite purchase for the toddler years!! Great as a gift for a 1st birthday!!

Erica GriffithErica Griffith: Bought this for my two year old’s birthday. He has had no issues climbing up, and loves standing at the counter with me. I almost didn’t buy this because some reviews mentioned that you would have to disassemble the whole stool in order to adjust the height platform, and that’s not true! There are simply 4 screws to secure the platform and then it slides out and you can screw it in at another height. All the wood was very smooth, no splintering issues like I’ve also seen in other reviews. The only con is that the standing platform is very smooth/slick, it would be nice if they offered a grip pad to put on there so the child doesn’t slip (I grabbed an extra grippy placemat we had and it works just fine.) I put felt slider strips under all the feet so it wouldn’t scratch my hardwoods, and it’s still sturdy, no wobbling. We’ve only had it for a couple weeks at this point, but so far I’m very happy with the quality in relation to the price.

Aldo T.Aldo T.: Edit to add: the company got back ahold of me July 16 apologizing that they overlooked my message and wanted to send me their new designed product. Received the new product within a week or so and didnt get around to building it at the time. Got my husband to put it back together finally a couple weeks ago and so far so good. Tip: I added felt to the bottom of it, as i do all my chairs/wooden furniture. My 3 year old son is happy to have his helper again. I am too because i feel much safer with the walls around him than in a chair pulled into the kitchen! He loves to cook!

Orginal review: I loved the fact that the color matched our kitchen and wouldn’t look so “kid-ish”. My son is 2.5 and LOVES being a big boy in the kitchen. We loved it when we first put it together. Looked like it was going to be a pain to adjust once he was tall enough to adjust but didn’t mind the thought of that.
