MCS74: I'm glad I ordered my normal size, they fit a bit tight at first but after about 10 hours walking, I could fit normal socks in them and be very comfortable. They are very warm so I doubt I would need an extra pair of socks. They are rated up to -40 but I honestly don't go outside for long period at that temperature. At -20C, I can pass the snowblower, walk or do snowshoeing for a few hours in the forest without my feet feeling any cold at all so I am more than happy with that purchase.

Alexa: I needed a pair of boots where waterproofing and windproofing are critical, and warm without being obtrusively bulky. These boots are indeed a bit bulky and fit my feet very snugly, but that's only a problem while I'm indoors. Outside, working on aircraft where I'm often standing still in a wide open area with huge winds and in frozen or wet weather, these boots absolutely perform as advertised. They prevent the cold ground from freezing my feet too, something I've had problems with in the past with other work boots.
I don't do much walking in these and driving in them can actually be a little tough because of how bulky they are, but if you need to be trudging around in the snow these work super well. For the price I'm honestly pretty thrilled. These aren't exactly work boots but with my snow pants and gaiters pulled down over the fuzzy top of them it doesn't really matter. I was sick of my feet getting wet in the snow and rain and went straight to the nuclear option with the warmest boots I could find. These are it.

StoneThistle: The boots are very comfortable and warm in very cold weather. Good grip on the sole for ice. The only negative, and this is my fault, the boots are not tall enough and snow gets inside my boot unless I use gators. In the future I would order the Baffin style with a drawstring closure on the top of the boot or the taller boot.

Michelle S.: I ordered these after my Sorels stopped keeping my feet warm. I have a hard time finding boots that can do just that, and be waterproof and comfortable. These Chloes look great. With the initial try-on I thought they were a bit tight, but realized after a minute they were just fine. The inner liner adjusts to your foot fairly quickly. Now if my area gets another hard freeze, I can test the cold rating... I just wish I had found these sooner.

Amazon Customer: My daughters feet are always cold, not now these boots keep her warm

TheLadyInBlack: So last year, I broke down and bought a goose-down filled parka. I live in the country, in a snow-belt in Ontario. I’ve always had a warm dress-coat and dress-boots, but nothing for casual wear. This year, I decided I needed boots to go with the jacket. After searching several web-sites, I checked out Amazon and finally came across these ones! Just like my down jacket, these say they’re good to -40!! Since temperatures have been dipping down that low at night, I can confidently say that their claims are true! These are easily the warmest boots I’ve ever worn!! I chose my regular shoe size and had no issues with them at all. I’m actually quite impressed and would recommend these to anyone in a colder climate!

P. Denny: I live in the mountains of Colorado. Therefore through the 25 years I've lived here I have owned a lot of boots. Sorrels which have a poor fit and not warm, Baretraps not water proof at all, Bearpaws great except NO traction - very very slippery. I was looking for a boot that kept my feet warm and dry without making my feet sweat and kept me from slipping on ice. In my search, I had tried other boots and wearing them around the house, within 30 minutes my feet were damp. So those were returned. These are very warm and I never sweat even when wearing them all day. Also I have stepped through ice water puddles that were deep enough to cover the toe box - 6" or so and water did not seep in. I am not sure if they would keep water out if you were to just stand in a puddle, but for me these boot are fantastic. Another note is that I wear a size 6.5 to 7 so I bought a size 7. They fit fine and I don't really have to tighten the laces because they fit my foot. This boot is padded with foam on the upper part, so it fits sung, yet if I put a thicker sock on, the foam just gives way and there is still room. I love the fact that I don't even need to tighten the lace - just slip them on and...

Julie F.: In Montreal winter can be very cold with -20, -30 °C. We need good warm winter boots. I'm the kind of girl who is always freezing cold. I know what I'm talking about when I say I have cold foot. I tried Kamik, Sorel and Pajar boots. I had cold foot in all of them.
I ordered a pair of Baffin in size 9 because I wear shoes sized 7,5 - 8. They were a bit snug first time I tried them.
Those are not sexy winter boots, but I don't care about being sexyor not I want warm and toasty foot!
Yes they are bulky and you have to get used to wear and walk with them. I'm not crazy in love with the D-Ring front lace fastening system. The internal soel is like a cushion. Boots seem to be well made.
All in all for the moment those boots are warm, my foot are toasty but we are not in extreme cold now. I'll update my review when the real cold winter will be here.

country rose: I am very happy with the boots. There is some break in time. I normally wear size 6 but after reading the reviews I went up a size to 7. When I put them on the first time they felt too tight and I didn't think I was going to be able to wear them. I switched to thinner socks and went for a walk. The thick insulating padding inside the boot adjusted to my foot as I wore them. I walked around for an hour or so. The next time I wore the boots I was able to wear a thicker sock. The boots became more comfortable the longer I wore them. I am a professional gardener and wanted a warm boot to wear outside during cold days. The lower part of the boot is completely waterproof and mud cleans off easily but I wouldn't wear them in the pouring rain. I will wear these boots on days when it is cold and dry. I work in the pouring rain so on those days I will switch to my Baffin knee high rubber boots. But these boots were just what I was looking for. Something fashionable and warm. I love them. They are somewhat stiff and you wouldn't be able to run very far in them but they feel so warm! I also live on a farm so when walking through tall grass and weeds the fur trim on the outside will grab...

Amazon Customer: Pros: I can wear these all winter -35 in northern BC and not feel the slightest cold on my feet. They are like walking on clouds and are very comfy. My last pair of these Baffins lasted me 7 years, wearing them for 5 months a year.
Cons: the liner always comes out when I take my foot out of them. Just one of the boots though...
