Jen: Dead wolf walking is a fantastic and warm welcome to this series.
It’s got it all you want from a shifter/paranormal read.
There’s a lot happening with just the FMC alone but then there’s so many secrets and mysteries involved too. You don’t know what to believe, what’s real and even what is actually happening.
All I know is Bad Moon Academy is messed up, strange and definitely not what it seems.
It’s quirky, funny, sinful and unique with some really yummy men.

Kindle Customer: I enjoyed the mystery. I'm intrigued enough by the ending to read on but I look forward to things become clearer. I'm not really getting attached to the harem so I am hoping for relationship building in book 2, as well.

Lammie: This book is an amazing mix between shifter pack book and a supernatural academy book. The world building is so well done as well as the mystery of what is actually going on at the academy.
Raven and Joan are an amazing blend of woman and wolf and Raven being the strongest dynamic … well I did not expect it and absolutely loved it. The boys are interesting and well written.
That cliffhanger was crazy. Going right into book 2.

Power Librarian: This is the first in a new adult paranormal why choose romance. Raven is bitten by a wolf shifter, and shortly afterward she’s whisked away to Bad Moon Academy, a place where newly changed shifters are taken to learn about the paranormal world before being integrated into a pack. But something’s off about the academy.
In this book, we get the point of view of Raven, but also those from her love interests. It’s clear that they’re keeping secrets, and not all is explained in the first book. There’s a cliffhanger, and I was left pretty darn confused by some of those twists at the very end!
The book has a lot of suspense, and there’s a bit of angst to characters, particularly Raven and her love interest, Draco. There’s a little bit of steam, but this is a slow burn romance, so not much lovin’ happens in the first book.
I’m definitely intrigued by the mystery plot lines in this story, and I can’t wait to dive into the second book!

Jessica: I have so many thoughts and theories on this book right now that I can't even concentrate. It all starts out pretty normal. Raven gets bitten by a wolf and then becomes one herself. She is then mad to go to bad moon academy for changed shifters. This is where all the mysteries begin. Who can we trust..Everett, draco, carter, adler? How about the phantom? Or morg? Why does everyone ignore each other and who is brayden??? So many questions! This was not what I was expecting at all. Its going to lull you into a sense of complacency during the middle and then bam!! You won't know what hits you. I definitely recommend.

Camilla L: Oh wow. I love the omegaverse novels by Rory Miles and decided to check this series out. I hadn't heard anything about it previously, no idea why? I went in with no expectations, and ended up absolutely hooked and obsessed.
The fmc is sassy and fierce, and I absolutely love the inner dialogue she has with her wolf. I love the way Rory Miles writes her female characters, and how she has such a distinctively sarcastic and funny tone to her writing.
The story is set up nicely, leaving a lot of questions unanswered, bringing in some wonderful male love interests, it has all the intrigue and mystery, some horror and suspense and I just love it. Need to read the next book ASAP!

Ines_: Soon after being bitten by a werewolf, Raven changes in a wolf herself and gets whisked away to "Bad moon academy" to learn everything there is to know as a werewolf. Unfortunatly, leaving the academy is forbidden as long as she hasn't learned everything there is to learn. But weird things are happening at the academy, and it is clear things are being hidden from Raven.
I really enjoyed this book. I love a fmc with a quirky side; the inner dialogues between Raven and her wolf Joan were pretty hilarious. Raven is a young woman who has overcome some heavy stuff that happened in her life, and I like the fact that this suffering has left some scars. It gives her more credibility. I'm not sure what to think about the guys so far though... I'll have to find out more about them in the next book(s) to form an honest opinion.
And last but not least, I feel like the ending of this book needs to be specifically mentioned. Seriously: what the * was that? If you like books with epic cliffhangers, and no need to wait to read the rest of the series (since they are all out allready) I do recommend starting this series.

Rachel: Dead Wolf Walking is one of those books that had me crafting all sorts of theories in my head as I read and telling multiple friends vague parts of those theories because I needed to tell someone but not spoil it for them. I couldn't put this book down, I just had to keep reading to see what was happening at the academy and how Raven was going to deal with everything. This is a multi-POV book, which both helps and makes the twists twistier. I also think the pacing was well done to keep the tension going. This is listed as a dark book and there are definitely some dark themes here, but I want to add that I'm not a dark reader personally and I had no issues with this read.
Raven is the type of FMC that I truly enjoy reading about, she's experienced trauma and has come out strong and determined, even when she's unsure and vulnerable. She's a fighter through and through. Now sometimes I did want her to fight the guys at the academy a little less, because I'm on board with her wolf, what we've seen of the ones I like, she can go ahead and claim them right now and I'd be happy. Raven's learning a new world, along with whatever else is happening though, so it's understandable that...

Elizabeth (@lizs.book.nook): SO GOOD! This book was fantastic! The mystery and intrigue completely had me hook, line and sinker. Raven was one kick butt heroine! I loved her strength, take no crap attitude, determination, and curiosity. Even more so, I LOVED her bond with Joan (her Wolf)!!! Joan was one sassy Wolf and I loved it! Hearing her inner monologue and their back and forth conversations was hilarious! There were moments that literally had me laughing my butt off!
Everett, Carter and Draco were very interesting characters. Each personality was so uniquely them. And I loved how they each had such a different connection/relationship with Raven. I genuinely cannot wait to see those relationship blossom even more as the story continues.
That end though...WHAT THE HECK! That ending totally through me for a loop and I was left wondering what the flip I just read! I’m left with so many questions that I need answers to and can’t wait to have.
This story was fantastic and Rory Miles did a wonderful job of creating such a thrilling, mysterious and sexy read that had me completely consumed from beginning to end.
