QueenSunRay: I bought these for my husbandfor our 7th anniversary. He's a watch collector which made the design on these PERFECT! He LOVED THEM! He said 'You couldn't have gotten me a more perfect gift!'! He's someone who generally HAS everything he needs, &, if he wants something throughout the year he just gets it, so he's tough to buy for. The packaging was very classy, not something I expected for something so inexpensive. The quality is outstanding! If you are purchasing these as a gift, they would NEVER suspect they were so affordable! Them having an actual movement is just an added bonus! I would recommend these to ANYONE who is looking for that ' something special and different' for a man who may collect watches, these were a hit w MY hubby!!!!

shupito: They look very cool - the only problem was that one of them was delivered broken. A flimsy string was broken and it made the cufflinks look terrible.

CoolGramma: I got these as a birthday gift for one of my grandsons who loves French cuffs. He lives a few hours away and he just received them and called me about them. Both he and his wife just LOVE these cufflinks! He has a watch that has a glass bezel so you can see all the gears working, so I thought he's like these and he DOES. CalebCaleb: I was looking at cufflinks at Macy's and I almost spent 2x more on a set a week before I ordered these. Luckily I waited! These look very sharp and actually FEEL like solid quality cufflinks...oh, AND the gears actually move! I have to say these are even nicer than the ones I almost bought for $40. They came in a nice storage case as well. The case will last forever if you just use it to store your cufflinks in. I can see these making an awesome groomsmen gift! Charles B: The reviews are quite mixed, so I was gambling and knowing I wasn't sure what I would be receiving completely.

So let me clear up what you will receive: a pair of functional (as in usable) cufflinks with a nice aesthetic to them. You likely shouldn't wear these to formal events, but would compliment your suit well, or just be fun, for walking around/night out, or an event that isn't as formal.

Do the gears 'work'? There is one brass wheel that is designed to spin (you can do it manually, or just by the movement of your arms and wrists).
There is no functionality to this, but it is a nifty little thing.

The cuff links are a bit heavier than I had expected, but this is only a minor problem and they are still wearable. The weight naturally comes from all the extra metal that make up the gears.

They arrive in a nice sturdy box that you can use to store them or bring them (or any other cufflinks) with you when traveling.

If you like the aesthetic, aren't looking for something completely formal then I would highly recommend them on their own, and especially for the price and speedy delivery.
