DShore: I was craving Beef Bulgogi and found this brand in the local supermarket. It's not as sweet as I've had in other products but I still wanted more. I found the powder version on Amazon and tried it out. My only complaint is I had to use 2 packets to get the same flavor as the jar version. If you are looking for something to keep in your pantry for a quick meal then this is it. But I would suggest making the sauce from scratch if you are able to.

J. Pecoraro: This stuff is a great marinade for short ribs or any type of thin cut spare rib. Yum yum!

ken inn: while i make my own kal bi marinade, it does take some time. but i found another great use for this mix. i marinate sliced chicken at least overnite, then cook the chicken in a pot, with carrots, zucchini, broccoli, and onions. i thicken the remaining sauce with a bit of cornstarch, and the result is really tasty. 2 scoops rice, ONO!

Kameryn Santanal: I was a bit nervous buying something in bulk when I didn't know what it might taste like, but I've had NOH products before, and they didn't sell the Korean BBQ marinade in the Chinatown stores I frequent.
The first time I made it (with red meat) my husband said he loved it, but I didn't get to taste it until a couple days later. Bad idea, he confirmed. The taste was so completely different than when first cooked. Probably could've given myself food poisoning, too.
The second and third and fourth time, we grilled the chicken after marinating it overnight. Bad idea. I still had no clue on taste because the charcoal taste overpowered it completely. Waste of marinade.
This week, I tried marinating chicken and placed in freezer for 2 weeks. Let thaw and marinate for 2 days in fridge. This time I just baked it. The aroma and flavor was tremendous. My picky 2-year old even loved it. And this time, two days later, it was still super tasty.
My only warning is that the packet STINKS when it's first opened. That's not how it tastes, nor how it smells once it is reconstituted with water. That first whiff is just horrible, but the flavor is great.
Is it true...

Tamar: Grew up with NOH products. Been in Michigan for 10 years. I order Noh products and of course Aloha Shoyu gallons. Hawaiians know it's a must to have over kikoman. But anyways.. I use this I'd say every other weekend. when I'm going to grill or smoke meats. I also add more Aloha shoyu lower in salt, the ginger, minced garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, pepper flakes to add more to the food I will be Marinating so it taste more home made. Love it! Will always buy NOH products.
