LJ: I bought several of these for my Mom along with several of the dried vegetables. She doesn't want to cook complicated things now that she's older but she can have chicken soup w veggies or throw some chicken over pasta or rice in a matter of minutes. She likes the flavor and convenience of having "home cooked" without alot of work or food waste.

koamazon: Tastes good, nice consistency and flavor. This tastes like the good, organic chicken I buy (not the cheap 'egg-tasting' chicken...you know what I mean). I just take a cup scoop and place it in the pot with the other wet ingredients, makes a good smelling/tasting rice, noodle, sauce dish. The chicken is both tender and also stiff enough to reconstitute to normal 'chicken-density'. I have noticed that the flavor is better and the chicken more tender after I let the dish sit to cool for an additional 20 minutes after cooking. Shelf life is a year after opening...I like this product.

Julie: I felt relieved when I saw this product available because when you are at home and not able to get to the stores not much is offered for meals and this won't get rotten if you don't finish it within a week so those are good things. I tried it the first time in some soup and I thought that it was bitter tasting but then I tried cooking it a different way and it's much better. I wouldn't say that putting boiling water and powder seasoning is how to cook it it's nice to just soak it in marinade and then pan fry it and the barbecue style taste better than the creamy pasta methods. I used A1 sauce, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, and ketchup added to the dry chunks and cooked up the has browns then sauteed them together and it's got a good flavor. As a kid I was given herbs for medicine so this to me taste like a mix of Uva Ursi, Echinaccea, and skull cap that are used for head aches so I'm guessing that this is probably some sort of mushroom because I want to say there's also Willow Bark. It's better than the process to extend real animal product it can involve chemicals but the can should at least tell people so they know how to cook it like a stir fry otherwise it tastes like aspirin.
