Athletico Padded Golf Bag for Safe and Secure Travel

jackson: We bought this travel bag to bring our daughter's clubs to her. I was skeptical of the quality given the price point, but really pleased with the bag when it arrived! Although there are no wheels (just throw it on the trolley), the bag is sturdy and good looking. It did so well on our first trip that it travelled to Europe and performed perfectly. So, 2 trips carrying full sets (in their own bags) and so far, so good. I recommend.

Michael: Bought a vacation on a whim and had to get a travel bag fast. For one trip, this thing gets the job done. Got my clubs there and back nice and safely. (I did use a travel protector umbrella thing that I also bought on Amazon that kept the top of the bag from touching my clubs) I noticed a small rip starting to form around the zipper lining before even checking it on the first flight but everything held. The strap is whatever and it's a pain to carry clubs (especially with it packed with a weeks worth of balls), next time I'd get something with wheels.

Overall, not bad, got the job done. I'd also do something to customize the look of your bag. I went to an all inclusive golf resort and saw 3 or 4 of these bags on the same flight. Make sure you put something on it to discern from others as this seems like a very popular buy.

Brian Kinash: Cheap and quick, bought this bag quickly for a trip at the last minute and found it sufficient for my needs and considering the price I was happy. The zipper was sticky when I arrived at my destination, I was able to get it open without breaking it but have little confidence in it's longevity.
The carry strap is very minimal and very uncomfortable to use while carrying a full bag... I may look to see if I can use my club bag strap on it... that may make it better.

WorldTravelrWorldTravelr: This bag, for the price, is about the least expensive travel club cover you will find. Having said that, I will say that I returned it before using it because I just felt that the cover was not padded enough to protect my clubs from the baggage handlers and conveyor belt at the airport. If you have less expensive clubs or just want to keep them in place and scratch free, this might work for you.

I don't travel that often for golf, so I don't need a case that costs 3-4 times as much. But, having one of these on hand for when you need it is a good idea because there is really no option when flying with your clubs, other than one of these. I ended up buying another case with more padding and wheels, which I paid a little over double what I paid for this case.

In a pinch, or if you need this for a trip or two, the value is fantastic. If you are buying this for frequent travel, know that you get what you pay for. When the box arrives, it is about 1.5 feet square, so that should demonstrate just how padded this is, if it fits in a small box like that. You can see from my photo that when zipped, the top portion where your club heads are can be folded over. Imagine someone...

Francesca R.: I got this for my Yamaha Silent Cello SVC50 which just about fits into the bag lengthways. There's more space widthways. It's roomy as it's not the shape of the cello.
I use it as a gig bag which is fine when driving to gigs, parking and walking. Hasn't met rain yet, so can't say about it's ability to repel water. Heavy rains would not be good I am sure. I do carry the bag horizontally though and very carefully so the cello does not flop about inside.
I can fold up the bag and squash it under my table on a stool to get it out of the way when not in use.
Would improve if it had some removable sponge padding that one could cut to shape.
