Arachnid Cricket Pro 800: A Professional Electronic Standing Dartboard for All Levels of Play

Erin: The reviews stated it was flimsy, which I will not dispute. The dartboard surround is made of fiberboard which is as flimsy as it gets. The cabinet is made of particle board, again cheap. However, this setup looks great, has plenty of storage, and the dart board is excellent with tons of gaming options. It was very inexpensive (get what you pay for), and it is lots of fun for family and friends. If you need a commercial cabinet, this is not it. You're looking in a much higher price range.
The assembly was not difficult as long as you watch the subtle hints in the pictorials (hole on backboard, this side up, etc.). It has good volume and it is adjustable. The darts are also much better than those cheap plastic darts you play with in bars.
My only modification was adding an $8.00 LED light to point down at the board because there isn't much light where I put it. I was going to get a laser line emitter, but where I put the dartboard lines up with the grout line in the tile, so there was no need.
I would suggest this for anyone that wants to improve their dart game skills, has idle time to pass, or enjoys hosting parties where people participate in friendly competition.

Me: Update - lowering to one star. Spent A LOT of time and money to make this cabinet more stable and appear to be of a bit better quality. Brackets, leveling feet, more brackets, alignment. It's better but still mediocre and embarrasing. Dartboard seems just okay (a LOT of bounce-outs) but the cabinet is over-priced JUNK.

Dart board cost $194 on Amazon so you're paying about $170 for the cabinet. That's a lot of money for an under-engineered cabinet. Flimsy half-inch thick particle board construction. Tedious assembly. No leveling feet. Plan on spending some more time and money to beef-up the cabinetry with some large L-brackets and some leveling feet etc. A few of the pre-drilled holes did not line up as they should have. Okay, I get it. It's heavy and shipping is free but I would rather pay a bit more and get a quality cabinet. Does not come with lighting for the dart board so you'll probably want to add that. On the plus side the assembly instructions are pretty good and the various parts are well-labelled.

Brian: Product arrived on my door step and the box was in very rough shape. Internally everything was luckily in good shape and the packaging proved to be adequate. This thing with packaging weighs over 70lbs. Instructions are comparable to everything else really and a little common sense will go a long way.

The dartboard and cabinet are great bang for your buck and this a great game room alternative to a legitimate bar style set up costing over $1000 used. I read a lot of reviews about the quality of this product including the Bull Shooter and most complaints were regarding the sturdiness of the cabinet and the darts that come with both. To fix this issue I bought 2 L shaped brackets and mounted them to the top of the cabinet to the wall. This prevented any movement when pulling darts out. I also mounted 2 brackets to reinforce the bottom and top sections of the cabinet to each other. This was an easy fix to the lack of sturdiness.

The cabinet is not solid wood and is particle board with a thin layer of laminate wood which was pointed out by some reviews. Unless you're buying Amish or custom made furniture, everything is basically a plywood or particle board laminate these...
