Donald M.: I have been pushing dry pills down my poor dogs throat every night with the old pill gun... until now. The ability to add water is a game changer! It used to be hit and miss, if I got him to swallow his pills. Now, with a tiny squirt of water, he swallows his pills effortlessly and most important, painlessly!

Amazon Customer: Both tips were exactly the same and were only for liquids or for very small pills. Then the rubber tip would fall off when we would inject it and our cat swallowed it. We are still waiting to see if she will vomit it out, but we will never get this product again.

Richard Kitten: I really like these and I like that the come with a replacement tip, but they are very short making them hard to use on med to lg dogs, and the pill holding portion of the tip is so small that none of my pills fit into it. I had to cut little slits in it to allow it to expand and hold the pills I needed to give.

Brandon S:
I don’t know why I never thought to get something like this earlier. My cat has needed pills a couple times now, and there’s nothing worse than having to stick my fingers in her mouth and try to time dropping a pill in to the back of her throat.
The pills I have to give are quite small. 12.5 & 15mg tablets. With the two tip sizes included, I was able to find one that worked for both. You pull the plunger back, slip the pill into the tip, and when ready push the plunger out. Very easy to work with.
The length of the syringe was good enough for my needs, however I do wish the shape was a bit better ergonomically designed. It is uncomfortable to hold the cat and administer the pill in the way the shape is designed for, but that could just be a me issue as well.
Give this a try if you need to give animals a pill. I worked great for me

Kathy Carter: I got this to give my dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) liquid meds and it works well, the tip is soft and gentle on her mouth, but it was too large for her little mouth. I've kept it because you never know when you'll have another dog or cat!!

KB: I have an elderly cat who is particularly stubborn. With age, he requires a variety of medication. Unfortunately that means he occasionally needs to take tablets. For the life of me, I could never get the hang of administering it by hand, as he’d always manage to spit out the pill. This pill popper is pretty easy to use, and comes with two rubber tips to accommodate different pull sizes. It’s much easier to get the pill to the back of his throat now. I’ve had occasional trouble dispensing half-tablets, which are a little small and sometimes fall out—although this is minor considering the overall convenience.

JR: Bought this as it looks identical to the one I lost which I got at my vet. This one is much more cheaply made, doesn’t feel very good quality compared to my other one. The tips are not as soft and quality feeling either. I’ll be trying to find the same brand I had before.

SKIP: SMALL BUT OK NOT FOR LG. PILLS

Rebecca Potter: At first this pill shooter worked great, and I was very happy. But I soon found out that using it on a daily basis meant that large capsules would stick/glue themselves inside the tip if there was any moisture at all, and half the time the silicone tip would come off with the pill! Thankfully my cats never swallowed it, but it means I had to do a lot of unnecessary fighting to get the pill down after the silicon tip came off. Definitely not worth the money, or the risk to your cats--I cannot recommend this to anyone who has to administer medication on a daily basis.

Sheila Weinstein: Holding onto The loops caused a restriction on my wrist. The power needed to depress the plunger also affected my the delivery. I’ve since found a device which is built like a syringe and it’s the answer to my prayers. My cat is difficult to pill and her health depends on 2x/day medication. This product is good, but was not good enough for me.
