Lonnie: Simplicity and great design all in one product! Simply replace your valve caps and glance at your tires before you get in the car. If the valve cap is green you are good to go! While it doesn't quite have the functionality of the remote, in car, see the pressure while you drive type of tire pressure monitors it makes up for it in the price and simplicity. I have the remote kind on my car, 2 of them have been broken by ham handed idiots replacing tires. (Have you ever seen a Mensa candidate working in a tire shop?) These are simple, just unscrew them before changing a tire and screw them back on when the job is completed! So simple even the tire guy can do it!

"chuck-robinson": The package has places to record at what the tire pressure should be for the Stem Caps. All the spots are blank so I have no idea what tire pressure they are for.

The description for these caps does not indicate that there are different caps for different tire pressures.

They are virtually useless.

MacJunegrand: I've been using these on my motorcycle for well over a year now, and so far they work wonders. Installing them is easy, though due to the fact that they're metal instead of plastic they require a bit more force to screw/unscrew. As long as you install them correctly there's no air loss risk (at least in a motorcycle, I don't know how they'd work in a car).

In my experience, there's no difference between these stem caps and the factory ones that came with the bike (except, of course, for the sensor). I don't have to inflate my tires more regularly, and I travel every day.

The sensor works pretty well, going from green (full) to yellow (low, inflate as soon as possible) to red (dangerous, inflate STAT).

I cannot speak for the bad experience others have had with these. Perhaps they're not using the correct type for their pressure, perhaps they got some faulty ones, perhaps they're not screwing them correctly. It's true that by design the stems are always making pressure on the valve, so if the tip breaks then air is going to inevitably go out faster than if a regular cap broke, so there's a risk involved to take into account.
