Holly B: The pages are thick, which is great. Good quality and lot of different things to choose from when deciding to get lost in the art of coloring. Some of the areas to color are small, so make sure you have a fine point when it's needed.

nikiniki: In total there are 50 designs to colour and they are all different. The style of the book changes and not all the pages are similar, some pages have one animal and then others have loads of small images of the animal, such as fish, butterflies or bears. Some of the pages have a framed border while other pages don't.

The printing is inconsistent and for that reason I think 4/5 is fair. I feel that parts of the book are a definite 5 but then other parts seem more suited to a 3 and this is also due to the odd difference in the printing. Some pages in the beginning of the book have dark clear print and towards the back of the book the printing looks a bit faded and the style of the pictures are also different. The back cover suggests that this book is designed like this on purpose "Designs range in complexity and detail from beginner to expert-level".

There is something for everyone and lots of birds and fish.

The pages are not perforated so you would need to be cautious tearing the pages from the book so that you do not damage the picture. The paper is white and feels like 80gsm. All the images on the right hand side of the book and left side is blank.

I've been "in" to coloring for just under a year now, and I've come to be pretty picky when it comes to which books I want for my coloring book collection. I want books that have variety and patterns, as well as an opportunity to use splashy gel pens. This book gives you all that. It has deep, dark outlines and offers a variety of intricate patterns balanced with pages that give you chance to just color big spaces. I like that the gel pens do not bleed through to the next page; plus, I especially like that there no pictures to color on the back sides of the picture pages. This makes it even easier to prevent bleeds on to the next picture. I also especially like that this "adult" coloring book does NOT come with adult language or sexual innuendoes. I think everyone should be able to have a book they like, so if others like that type of theme, I'm fine with it. I just wanted to let others know that if you're like me, you won't find that in this book labeled "adult." While I'm not fond of pages that have an over-abundance of black-and-white pre-shading, this book at least doesn't go overboard in the quantity of pre-shaded pages. In all, this is a...
