I had a foundation drainage problem with water pouring in through a crawl space vent. The well around the vent was too small for any kind of sump pump and since it’s a temporary fix I didn’t want to spend a lot. Thought I’d give it a try. A 2.5 inch rainstorm with melting snow and I had a dry crawl space! Positive wire mislabeled, but for what it accomplished, that can be forgiven.

Love these pumps. I Have two on my motor yacht, and just got two more for my sport cruiser, fishing boat.! They don't have standard 3/4" hose fittings, so a little bit of glue and pc pipe is needed, but its worth it.! They work well, hold up under heavy rain, and keep my bilge dry. That's important for me, because I just re-po'd a boat the guy left all the engine hoses loose, and shorted out the pumps. Caused the boat to flood when the engines were running, but these pumps kept up and saved the boat.! Now I have a set of 2, I take on every boat re-po I do, with hoses already set up, they work great.!

Pump appears to work as advertised, but no longevity or rate of flow info yet. Note that I commented on the other two reviews. There are three wires on the pump. One, the black goes to negative ground. Of the two remaining, one is to manual on. The other is to float switch on. This function can be tested by turning the little test knob which raises the float, and turns the pump on. IMHO this is the best of both worlds, as if your bilge has crud in it which could jam the float, you still have the option to manually switch the pump on, and there is a test function to make sure that the float is free and functioning.
