FD: This is by far the most long-lasting, high-performing and robust solar light I’ve bought since I started buying them 5 years ago. I now own 3 of these and intend to replace all existing solar lights with this kind. The first one is still going strong after 4 years (in photocell mode). Highly recommend these lights!

WooWoo: I was in the market for solar powered lights to light up my 15ft x 55ft batting cage, and was looking to save money by avoiding hiring an electrician to run power to the cage. I thought I would be able to buy six of them and mount them to the six vertical posts. Unfortunately that did not work out as planned. The product was delivered within two days. Packaging was small and all the parts were in order. Overall its very thin, rectangular shaped, and seems to be well built compared to another solar powered light I tried the week before that had a separate solar panel. Assembly is very easy and it's relatively inexpensive. My reason for not giving five stars all around are as follows. The instructions that came with the light were easy to read and in color, but the cover indicated 3,000 lumens at full power but the page inside stated 1,300 lumens. I would say its definitely 1,300 lumens not 3,000 as stated on the cover. The light pattern is a large rectangular shape and the light seems to be brightest at each end. I mounted it about 14ft above ground and it cast a fairly wide light but was in a rectangular shape that was perpendicular to the shape of the light casing. It was not the...

Jeff R: Ok, just like you, I have had multiple dud solar garden lights, the silly things only last a few hours, and if they get no sun, you are lucky to get an one or two. So my expectations weren't huge when trying to find the 'perfect' solar light.
First impression are this light is made to a high quality, it is strong, well engineered, and even has a multi page colour manual written in.... wait for it.... real English. Yes you heard correct! The manual talks about installing at 3-4 m off the ground. I installed in a large backyard at about 2.5 m and had high expectations. I found the standard light (dim) to be just that, very dim, and I honestly couldn't see the effect from 5-6 m away from the light, I would say it was equal to moonlight. When you activate the sensor the light is much brighter. So I decided to move the light to a smaller area, approx 10m x 4m in size with a fence/wall on each side, on grass. The results were much better. The dim light lit the entire area sufficient not have have any dead spots, and when the sensor was activated gave a decent brighter coverage.

J Vecellio: Received my 1080x. Also purchased a 2080X, but package was damaged, and box empty. -(Shipping issue NOT seller issue and is being addresses promptly!)
First Impressions:
- Well built, NO PLASTIC- all metal housing and brackets.
- Has some weight to it, due to large solar panel and battery. (but not overly heavy as some imply/complain here)
- Straight Forward design and mounting brackets.
- Fully assembled- ready to go upon receiving it.
- easy mounting - if you cant lift this and mount it alone, you need to cancel your prime membership and get a gym membership :-) It took me 15 minutes to get this unit installed. No help needed.

Mounted it on a flag pole, approx 18" high in my front yard.
I am using Dim/Bright mode (motion detection) as i believe this gives the best performance and doesn't waste battery when less light is needed.

On low light- light is adequate- about what you would get from a typical front AC porch light. I could probably get away with just using this mode, as like i state, it is adequate... BUT...

rhus: This is an amazing light! I was only planning on buying one but now I have ordered a total of three and may possibly get a fourth one for full coverage where I need it. I have bought other cheaper solar lights in the past which performed well but they are nothing compared to this one. This light is a bit expensive than I would normally be willing to pay for a solar light but here is why I decided to just give one a try initially. Cheap solar lights I had in the past had built in batteries which quickly wore down after cold weather and they were too dim. These lights have the option to have the battery replaced, and offer very bright illumination and good coverage. The solar charge lasts extremely well, I have not had a single day since I bought these lights that I have experienced the battery being drained. I use these lights in the blue mode which is dim from dusk to dawn and then full illumination on motion. I would highly recommend this light and I have also told a few friends of mine to get it. The only thing stopping some people from buying this is the price. But its extremely well built and very slim and modern looking. I do have to say that the pole mounting hardware is not...
