These are great - mold well to your head without making you feel like your head is in a vice and also without having to deal with a velcro strap that yanks your hair out when you try to take it off. I wear mine 3-4 times a week and wash them every weekend in the washing machine on speed wash. The color doesn't seem to fade so hurray, although be very gentle with them when you put them on. They don't do well with widening them too much as you go to put them on, the plastic inside will snap - (and this was the case even back in the day when I didn't wash them ever. When I started breaking out on my forehead, I started throwing them into the wash and it made no difference in the "widen it too much and it snaps" department.)
If you want something that will shade your entire face though, this is not the visor. You need one of those giant brimmed hats/visors.
