Corissa Durazzo: The book is great. My son uses it to play with and pretends it’s a truck. Only downfall is durability. This is our second book because after awhile, the binding came loose and fell apart. Either way, I would buy a third if I had to.

Sarah: Got this for my 2 year old who loves garbage trucks. He destroyed the book after about 2 months. Some of the pages after reading a few times started to rip and so like any 2 year old he followed the rip and pulled the page right off. Other board books I feel are put together a bit stronger.

JC: These books are a huge favorite in our house. Our little one LOVES watching the garbage and recycling trucks on pick up day. He often runs, grabs the book, and holds it while he watched them drive by. The story isn’t too bad. A great gift for all truck lovers.

The only issue I have is that the poor spine doesn’t live up to toddler life. I suggest that your reinforce each page with a strip of packing tape. Eventually the spine will give out!

JBJ: I bought this book for my grandson who wakes up every Monday making a noise that he thinks sounds like the garbage truck. We wait every Monday for the garbage trucks to come and he loves to see them. Some even beep at him now. So, when I saw this book, I thought it might be perfect for him. The reviews made me a little unsure but it was the best I could find for his age range. He really loves it. When he got it, he was about 15 months old and he played with it more as a toy truck that he would drive around. Now at 18 months, he is more interested in the pictures and having me read the book or tell him about what is happening in the pictures. It is very sturdy and a perfect size for toddlers. The story line is about all you need for a one year old. Most of the trucks on our street pick up the cans and this book does not depict that, but the other day I think they were picking up yard clippings and when the truck came they loaded the contents of the garbage can into the truck by hand just like in the book. I am a retired early childhood educator, so when I saw it was a Scholastic book, I knew i probably would not be disappointed. This has been an addition to his library that he...
