One of my favorite parts of the book:
"The branch has nothing; it just depends on the vine for everything. Every vine you ever see, or every bunch of grapes that comes on your table, let it remind you that the branch is absolutely dependent on the vine. The vine has to do the work, and the branch enjoys the fruit of it. Is that literally true of my Lord Jesus? Must I understand that when I have to work, when I have to preach a sermon, or address a Bible class, or to go out and visit the poor, neglected ones, that all of the responsibility of the work is on Christ?
