James C.: While this rope should never be used for climbing due to being a static rope that would really really hurt you to fall on, it works fine for rappelling. -1 star because it should be advertized smarter. Would hate to see some less careful or novice person buy this thinking they can climb things with it.

I bought this in the 250' length and have taken it rappelling a number of times using a figure 8 belay device. Being only 8mm rope, it's an uncomfortably fast rappel with the standard figure 8 configuration, so I often double my rope up for more control on smaller drops when the length allows it. Or add extra friction to the belay when the wall is so high that I can't double up the rope and instead go down a single strand.

Not a fan of the pre-sewn loops at the ends. But I throw a big carabiner on the bottom one to serve as a stopper knot. Silly to have them at all, but they don't really affect the product in a negative way for me. I guess someone might find them useful..

Yes, I get that it's seems risky to place your life in the hands of a value product. Test it first with something heavier than you. Just don't fall test it.

T C: Just used this rope and clips on a 2 story roof painting project as a safety line. Once I uncoiled the rope from the included bag it was easy to get twists and curves (coil memories) out of the line. The line was sturdy when pulled on with body weight and did not stretch or allow unsafe give against tension. For how affordable the rope kit was with its east to use clips, I am very happy to have added this to my safety equipment inventory.

Ted Clifford: I needed a good way to tie out Happy (75# lab) when she wasn’t in our fenced off yard. I made a tie out for another relative’s dog but I paid twice what this rope cost, and I had to make loops at the ends. The one I got from Werewolves was a little smaller in diameter , more easy to handle, and came with great carabiners at each end. Happy loves being outside even when she’s not in her fenced off yard. And she’s safe.

Melissa: I use this rope for my dog’s cable tie out at camp sites. Works perfect. Rope is durable enough to withstand the roller going over it multiple times without wearing it down.
